Welcome to Yucayeque Oasis, named after the Taino word "Yucayeque," which historically referred to the village. Our oasis offers a variety of community activities and workshops while prioritizing the rewilding of the area to restore its native biodiversity. If you're camping during the spring and summer, anticipate a tranquil experience amidst the vibrant colors of our vast open field. With mountains in the distance, breathtaking sunsets, and an atmosphere of peace, your stay promises serenity and natural beauty. The oasis is an open area with no fencing so you are at one with nature. The entire 2.5 acres are open to camping and exploration however we have a set up “The Village” for our workshops that you are more than welcome to camp at. It features a stone fire pit, a picnic table, a bird feeder, tables and a compost pile for your natural scraps. There is no driveway, you will see the reflective safety poles and you will know you’re there. On the land you can drive where you can however we outlined a “driveway” with orange and black solar lights that takes you on a windy path to the village. Please be mindful of the safety poles as we are rewilding the area and are planting many important native species of plants that we want to protect.
There is no water so bring your own and no bathrooms, however we prefer you dig a hole then cover it up. Seriously it helps the land!
You may hear the occasional dirt bike in the distance as it’s a popular area for outdoor activities.
