Unobstructed views of nature, from your brush and debris free camping crater. Safer for outdoor cooking and our subterrenal accommodations have a
geothermal temperate effect, being often cooler in the Summer and warmer in the Winter.
Peace of mind can be had within the protective crater walls, to freely enjoy the open aired sunshine and starlit nights that will bring you and yours closer in sync with nature.
Guests may not trespass past the perimeter of other respective guest camping areas, even if part of the same traveling party. Community pathways/staircases, common areas for congregating, activity use, hiking and parking will be clearly designated. Dignity and respect for the experience of every being, is of paramount importance.
A welcome fruit tray of chirimoyas or similar fruits, grown on property, is available, upon request, for special occassions. Please notify us in your reservation, in advance.
*Craters are double occupancy (2 adults), maximum. Guests must be at least 21 years of age, no exceptions.
Compliance with campground safety and privacy policies, as well as adherence to all local, state and federal law, is required. Violators will immediaely be escorted off property, without re-entry, forfiting any remaining nights' stay, and a dismissal fee will incur.
THE NIGHTLY RATE WILL BE DEEPLY DISCOUNTED DURING OUR CAMPGROUND DEVELOPMENT April -May - JUNE 2024. TENTS ARE RECOMMENDED WHILE SITES ARE UNDER CONSTRUCTION, UNTIL CRATER DEPTHS REACH 7 FEET BELOW GROUND LEVEL AND SAFETY HATCHES ARE INSTALLED.
TEMPORARY COMPOSTING TOILETS IN WESTERN MODELED OUTHOUSES, STOCKED WITH TOILET PAPER AND NATURAL COMPOST (GRASS AND PALMFRAWNS) WILL BE PROVIDED OUTSIDE THE CRATERS.
A 5 GALLON JUG OF FRESH WATER WILL BE BROUGHT UP TO ANY OCCUPIED SITES' GATE, DAILY, UNTIL PLUMBING INSTALLATION FOR SINKS, SHOWERS AND TOILETS IS COMPLETE.
!!!RUNNING WATER AND POWER ARE NOT YET AVAILBLE!!!The Halfmoon Crater is tucked in its own private hillside slope, with panoramic view of the lush valley terrain of scattered boulders, palm trees and a typically blue sky.
This site is currently under camping crater construction. Standard dry dock, tent camping, above ground will be available at the discounted nightly rate listed.
Please note that campsites are at elevated locations, requiring a moderately steep climb up stairs and slopes. Guests are responsible for their own health and fitness, in determining if the hike between parking and their designated site, will be too strenuous. Packing your gear into lighter weight bundles, is recommended. Optional bellman services are available, by campground personnel, for an additional $25 on arrival and $25 on departure, that include a maximum of four trips hauling your camping gear from car to campsite, or campsite to car.
Overflow parking for a 2nd vehicle, is available further down the access road for an additional fee of $10 per night.
