My wife and I had such a nice time on the farm. We both loved the cabin and how you could get up and close with all the animals. It was a nice touch having the door next to the kitchen set up where you could pat and brush the cows and goats right there! We also were given a jar of chicken feed and some hay for the animals so we could feed them when we wanted - and they were all so used to humans. We recommend staying here if you want to dewind and not have to listen to the city noise everyday. Thankyou for the amazing experience. Christine and Dylan

Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash and under owners control at all times. Campfires are allowed in the fire pit provided and firewood is available at a small additional cost. The cabin camping and caravan sites nestle right on the banks of rocky creek and Tra-lee Dam in the middle of natural Australian bushland where you can reconnect with your family and friends around a friendly campfire or barbecue. If you want to bring the family - PERFECT - as there is rock pools, floating pontoons, diving boards and modern play equipment located on-site. No need to worry about packing the fridge, as there is a Local town 7kms for essentials. The rocky creek lodge is a fully equipped area with all your essentials for cooking BBQs from an indoor open BBQ to an outside fire pit or a simple oven. The lodge consist of two double beds, a set of bunks and a fold out futon in lounge room. The lodge has a fully equipped toilet, shower and basin which consist of a hot water system. Spend your time enjoying all types of water sports - kayaking, relaxing on a floaty or just a lovely swim- and a spot of fishing as we restock the dam every couple years. Some of the most popular catches are Golden Perch (or Yellowbelly) and Australian Bass with Silver Perch also stocked in the dam. Hidden Gem is a 600-acre cattle property just a stone's throw from Kilkivan and only three hours from Brisbane. We are a working cattle farm with wide-open valleys and beautiful hills and ridges that beckon explorers. The peace and quiet here will fill your soul. Guests are welcome to walk the property or fish in one of the farm dams. Swimming and paddling are perfect on a hot day, or simply relax and watch wedge-tailed eagles soaring overhead and shy whiptailed wallabies grazing nearby. If you’re observant, you might even spot a koala dozing in a tree. Our accommodation is a quaint old shearer’s shack — The Shack — lovingly refurbished and now featuring indoor amenities including a kitchenette, shower, and flush toilet. It comfortably sleeps 4–6 people, with extra camp beds available for larger groups or two families holidaying together. The open-plan space features polished hardwood floors, comfortable furniture, and a cozy fireplace perfect for chilly winter nights. Outside, there’s a firepit with firewood provided. There’s no electricity at The Shack, but solar lights, a solar-powered fridge, gas hot water, a gas BBQ, and a small gas stove ensure all the essentials are covered. Mobile reception is patchy — we encourage guests to put their phones aside, unwind, and let the outside world drift away while you reconnect with nature. Dogs are welcome but must be secured at all times. There’s a dog-proof fence around The Shack, but it is the guests’ responsibility to ensure pets remain within the fenced area or on a lead when walking on the property.
