Free-range chickens are also on the property, and the host offers true free-range eggs when available.
There are six rentals on the property, and the host lives on-site, personally handling all cleaning and maintenance. Guests are expected to respect quiet hours and curfews, which apply to select rentals, helping maintain a calm and enjoyable environment for everyone.
Outdoor areas are 420-friendly in compliance with New Mexico law.
The property directly adjoins the Lincoln National Forest, with access provided for hiking and mountain biking only. No vehicles of any type are permitted beyond the boundary—pack it in, pack it out.
Amenities include an 18-hole pasture golf course with clubs and balls provided, a basketball court, horseshoes, and walking trails. The property features extensive landscaping and thousands of trees, offering a big-mountain feel at approximately 6,000 feet elevation. Night skies are exceptionally dark, with minimal light interference.
Hammocks are provided at all rentals except the Countryside Getaway, with an additional hammock available near the cabana. Each rental includes a charcoal BBQ. A shared cabana offers a propane BBQ, propane flat grill, and a large charcoal grill for guest use. An outdoor shared restroom is available for added convenience and privacy.
The property is located 9 miles east of Ruidoso Downs on US Highway 70, approximately 11 miles from the race track, and just under 12 miles from Walmart.
The adjoining forest area is remote and quiet, ideal for long hikes with little to no human activity. The only occasional vehicle may be a rancher authorized to access the forest. Grazing in this area has been paused as of 2025.
