The property was amazing! From the lake to the waterfall it was all so well taken care of and thought out. Jim and Cindy were so hospitable, even gave us some firewood for the evening. We would definitely revisit!

2 nights at Lakeside Tipi Retreat

Fabulous grounds with so much to do! Rock hunters, great bird watching with numerous Whip-poor-wills, Chucks Poor Widows and so much more. The tipi is great, very cozy & cool in the evening. It's roughing it, cooking/shower wise but has a bathroom! Jim & Cindy are very accommodating and cool folks. The hammocks, kayaks, canoe and float mat on the lake and the tranquil waterfalls are a great place to mellow out at. Dogs are super friendly and good dogs! Definitely recommend! ❤️

Weekend Trip to Lakeside Tipi Retreat

This place is magical!! My sister and I needed to disconnect with the kids and be present and Jim and Cindy’s home is pure serenity! Our kids were in the water all day and had such a wonderful adventure! The pond, the waterfall, trails and hammocks spread all the peace vibes throughout our crew. The stars at night were unlike anything you can see in St. Louis. Jim and Cindy could not have been nicer and had so many great items on hand that we accidentally forgot to bring. The tipi was beautiful and unique and the lights added such a magical touch at night. The dogs were so friendly and helped us feel protected as they watched over us. If you need a place that is clean, serene and full of fun to disconnect this place is it! We cant wait to go back!

Awesome experience! The sites are kept up with and spaced out around the pond (that we caught a whole bunch of fishy’s out of ;)). The owners were also so so nice and told us about different things around the area and offered to show us their animals. 10/10 time

We had a wonderful time camping here! The hosts were so friendly and welcoming to us! We loved fishing at the pond and hearing the bull frogs at night. Our two dogs came with us and they enjoyed the spot too!

Cindy is a Master Gardener, and Jim is a spiritual life coach and energy worker—both are happy to offer sessions upon request. Feel free to wander through our garden and sample seasonal organic veggies, or check out the progress on our innovative underground greenhouse. Friendly visits from our two dogs and horse are common—they love people! But if you'd prefer no animal interaction, just let us know in advance. We have 172 acres of trails with scenic waterfalls and trees. A pond for fishing and conveniently located with in 8 miles from sevetal state parks and 2 miles from 300 acers of off road trails. We have owned and lived on tje property since 1999 .Learn more about this land:We are a fully functioning farm with Longhorn cattle, horses, mini donkeys and goats that are very friendly. We have 164 acres that have trails for horseback riding and ATVs. We are located 8 miles from Mermac River and Washington State park where you can rent canoe's and go hiking. We are an hour from St. Louis and Elephant Rock State park as well as Johnston shut ins. We are also with in 8 miles of ROMP dirt bike trail and 1 mile from Moonlight trails and racing that is 400 plus acers of ATV and jeep trails. We have a few waterfalls on the property and lots of areas to hike as well. Several areas of camping to choose from, you can be in the woods or out in the open. Spring and Summer months we offer farm fresh eggs and there is always plenty of firewood. We recently added a pond area as well. We now have Electric and water as well.
