Enjoy this back-country timber- frame haven among a forest of birch and pine, next to the magical flow of the Montreal River, and surrounded by a cornucopia of recreational offerings. Extreme skiing, mountain biking, kayaking, sailing, surfing, and scuba are just a few of the exploits available.

Ghost House Farm is a small vegetable farm in Michigan's Upper Peninsula. A busy hive of activity—especially on harvest days—we also cherish quiet moments, beautiful flowers, and the slower pace of country life.
We offer u-pick flowers in August and September. Ask us about having a seasonal bouquet or a basket of fresh vegetables delivered to your cabin during your stay.

The Copper Cabin is a magical place! My husband, toddler, and I had a great time there in late August. The walk/hike in isn't bad at all—in fact, it's really quite lovely. The cabin itself is charming, cozy, and full of character. It's stocked with necessities like games, books about the UP, cooking basics like oil, salt, and pepper, as well as sheets and mattresses.
We had a great time sheltering from the rain, just hanging out, reading, and soaking in the ambiance. The sauna is really neat, too! The rustic conditions are just as described in the listing, and for our family they were part of the fun. It also made a great home base for spending a few days exploring Copper Country.
We had the good fortune to meet both hosts and even saw a bear run across the road as we were pulling up one day. Such a unique and memorable place to stay!

Weekend Trip to EcoXtreme Adventure Destination
Excellent communication and thoughtful emails from the hosts made finding the place easy. They placed well-marked signs along the path. The most challenging aspect is the weather. We were prepared for mud and rain and did not find it too difficult. Everything was as described. It’s a quaint, quiet place. I love the ski decorations incorporated into functional lights and coat hooks as well as a swinging bench on the porch. Plenty of natural day light comes in through the windows. Solar batteries were capable of running everything including the fridge through the night without issue. We cooked our dinners on the antique stovetop with their pans and utensils provided. The water runs clear and cold. The living room chairs and loveseat are comfortable for the two of us. More than 4 individuals may find this space cramped unless they’re mostly outside and just needing beds for sleep. We couldn’t read most of the labels, but the emailed directions describe everything well enough. Very thankful the host provided accurate descriptions and helpful tips.

Weekend Trip to Ghost House Farm
Beautiful, cozy space with very warm and welcoming hosts (and the goats were delightful)! Space was set far enough back that the cabin felt private, but close enough to the parking site/WC that walking the path at night was an easy trek. 10/10, would absolutely stay here again!

The cabin was so cozy! We all slept so well…. The beds were clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed. Linda and Darryl’s description is on point and communication couldn’t have been better. We got the sauna stoked up and it was amazing! The location is perfect for the copper harbor area. I would definitely recommend Copper Cabin.

My spouse, friends, and I had such a fantastic and relaxing getaway here on the Keweenaw. The cabin and sauna have so much character and charm, and there’s so much peace to be found among the trees and down the short trail to the river. Lots of fun places to explore and beautiful sights to see within a short drive as well. Super grateful for our time and to have a setting like this shared with us!

I had a wonderful time at Linda and Darryl’s cabin. The trek to the cabin was a lovely snowshoe through the woods, and the cabin itself is gorgeous and so thoughtfully equipped. Directions are clear for both navigating and operating equipment inside the cabin, and the hosts were responsive and helped with a smooth check in. A perfect balance of adventure and creature comforts.

This is an amazing little cabin in the woods. Linda and Daryl are great hosts. This place is only 5 min from Mt Bohemia and there is great cell phone reception here. Such a fun home base to explore the Copper Harbor area.

Gotta love the Copper Cabin in winter! Cozy heat with wood stove, tons of fresh snow & sauna to boot! Our 5th stay ( or is it 6?). Darryl & Linda are great hosts - excellent communication, rapid response & friendly comments. We got to meet Linda for the first time, finally & just as nice in person! My husband and I are expecting our first baby in December and this was the perfect spot to get away and find stillness within all the excitement 🥲 we love to camp and backpack but being pregnant this was the perfect in between of comfort and rustic backcountry vibes! We loved the sense of adventure and truly felt at home in this space. It was really fun to learn about the off grid / sustainable practices that make this place unique and fun to explore. This off grid cabin/land had such nourishing ambiance and character there was always something unique to notice within all the tiny details Linda and Darryl put into it or from others that were left behind. We enjoying slow mornings reading journal entries from past visits over slow brewed coffee, walking the land, fishing in the river and playing games over a home cooked meal! The cabin was located perfectly on the peninsula we were able to explore copper harbor and close enough to houghton hancock if we needed anything. This is definitely a trip we will always remember and can’t wait to make it back with our little guy sooner than later! Many continued blessings to everyone who gets to experience this GEM in Gods Land 🌲
