Sip coffee in the morning from outside or inside your cozy 27’ Airstream trailer while watching an array of colorful hot air balloons as they lazily ascend in the early morning light. Or, after a bustling day visiting the many local wineries, cozy-up together back at your own private perch to take in a stunning sunset with magnificent colors unfolding as the sun lingers just above, and then drops below the horizon as the twinkling lights of the valley below make their nocturnal appearance.To make your stay comfortable for two people, this cozily appointed one bedroom, one bathroom with shower Airstream trailer with full hook-ups is appointed with a sumptuous and inviting queen size bed. The light and bright living area is outfitted with a kitchen that includes a sink, refrigerator, microwave and coffee maker (stove and oven are unavailable for STR use).  Your camping abode includes wide benches, a table, and an inviting couch smothered in soft pillows and throws just waiting for you to sit down, relax, tuck your feet up and maybe read a good book or take a nap. Your mostly private glamping spot includes an outdoor lounge area nestled among mature flora that includes an inviting propane fire pit perfectly situated to capture the stunning valley views below.

Our home is eclectic, country, relaxed and homey.

We are conveniently located just 30 minutes from downtown San Diego and popular tourist attractions like Comic-Con, Balboa Park, the beautiful beaches and the world famous San Diego Zoo. 35 minutes east you will find beautiful Mount Laguna, Cuyamaca Rancho State Park, Pacific Crest Trail access and the town of Julian. About an hour east brings you to the desert, where natural beauty and recreation abound. 13 miles away, Viejas Casino boasts a beautiful outlet center. 4 miles away, Sycuan has a casino with entertainment and the golf resort of Singing Hills. Come enjoy the slower pace of the San Diego backcountry.

If you are in the mood for a massage, Barbara is a therapist with amazing healing hands. (Please arrange in advance of your visit to ensure availability.) If you are a hiker and need a guide, Randy is an experienced Pacific Crest Trail hiker, who will be happy to assist with drop-off and pick-up in the local mountains, or whatever your hiking/backpacking needs are. Bikers of all kinds, frequently go by on Harbison Canyon Road, which is part of a larger biking loop.
So, hike, bike or drive yourself to our little haven and say goodbye to the hustle and bustle!

We enjoy talking to our guests, finding out about where they live and providing information on the local area. We do work during the week, but are usually around on the weekends.

Time Traveler Retreat Julian Cabin



Built in the 50’s it is sitting on 2 parcels and is over ½ acre in size.  We also have 2 other cabins for rent in Julian for larger groups.
 The outhouse that you see was used when it was first built and now is for storage.
 The original owner built the house himself and it was originally on piers alone with no other foundation!
 There is a folder in the bedroom closet of the house over the years.
 The decorations were here when we bought it so we kept them to preserve the house’s uniqueness.
 We treasure this house which is nestled amongst the trees and has so many beautiful birds that visit.
 Many turkeys love to stop by too!
 If you hear the deep cooing from the monster doves (who are very shy) you can try to spot one.  They are amazing.

The Eyrie Farm

We're in a farming town with 35+ vineyards nearby.

We'd like to offer a great site to camp to those who want to get away from the big city. The Eyrie Farm is named for all the bird life around: Red-tailed Hawks nesting in nearby Eucalyptus, Prairie Falcons, wild California Quail, songbirds, plus our own turkeys, chickens, ducks and quail we raise for meat and eggs. Come stay with us and hike or tour the many wineries in the town of Ramona!

Stallion Oaks Ranch (Retreat)

In 2003, the Grosvenor Family Foundation donated the 238-acre retreat property located in Descanso to The Unity Center. Much of the land, including more than 12 structures were destroyed during the Cedar Fires in October of 2003. In the years since the fire, members of our community have lovingly tended to the land and slowly nurtured the trees and flowers. The result is acres of pristine wilderness, with hiking trails, a small lake and even a hill of daffodils that bloom every Spring.Our vision is to create a world-class retreat center and campground that promotes spiritual renewal and personal growth in a natural setting, by providing a location for education, inner reflection, positive recreation and acceptance. The Ranch is owned by The Unity Center, a progressive spiritual community that emphasizes living consciously and making a positive difference in the world. This is a sacred and special place . So whether you're planning a retreat, a wedding or a special event, we hope you'll come away from the Ranch feeling renewed.

Situated on 8 acres and next to an 80 acre park and camp ground as well as a 400 acre preserve that leads to Iron Mountain and Mountain Woodson. Things to do in the area: The property is nestled among the ever growing wine region on Ramona, CA. Rashelica Winery,  Schwaesdall Winery, and Mahogany Mountain Vineyards are the closest, with another dozen or so wineries within a 5 mile radius. Additionally, you will find local farm stands, seasonal u-pick fruit orchards and farm animals. The home is right next to Dos Picos Park which has a lovely play ground, fishing pond, hiking trails for bike rides, and outdoor exploring. The Mt. Woodson Golf course is in the neighborhood and offers a lovely course and fantastic views.Ramona is also only a short jump from all of the other activities that the greater San Diego Region has to offer.
