Nancy Lake State Recreation Area Hideaway

NOTE: The place is accessible only by walking and boat on the Red Shirt Lake, there are many tracks in the park, you can follow them to go there and hike through the forest. 
Pitch your tent in this 5 acres piece of land located on the boundaries of the Nancy Lake State Recreation Area near Willow in Alaska.
The land is located on the southern tip of "Our Lake", a small lake on the south eastern side of Red Shirt Lake.
You will have a very quiet camping spot, located in front of the lake, with a creek nearby, and plenty of pikes to fish.

Portage Island Glacier

Alaska's city of Portage was nearly destroyed in the 1964 earthquake; only 20 cabins remain on the 90 acres, privately owned by H. Tomingas, that divides The Portage River. During high enough tides, "Portage" is totally surrounded by water making it into an island. Sunderland Ranch Farm Stay

Legacy family land! Learn more about this land:Pitch a tent here at the Sunderland Ranch.  We often have guests staying here or playing here for other events, but are happy to have you too!  This will be as quiet or as experiential as you would like. You can schedule a trail ride or farm tour with our staff/family, or get out and walk the trails or around the ranch and enjoy Alaska at its best.
