Parksland Retreat is a 40 acre forest and nature retreat with off grid facilities and homestead all surrounded by the Talladega National Forest. Parksland is in the heart of Talladega National Forest. Come for a hike on the trails on property, nearby Pinhoti trail or swim in the beautiful creek. 

Furnished Cabins, Bell Tents and Primitive Camping Available

for you, your partner, and/or a

We have Parking for one (1) car per booking. 

Access to the Retreat grounds and waters where we have swimming, and hiking.

Fall - Spring: shared Hot Tub Available Friday nights, Shared Sauna Available with cold plunge Saturday nights.

Be advised! The bridge located on Berney Station Road over Dry Creek (just West of the turn onto Germany Mountain Rd) is going to be replaced. This section of the roadway will be closed beginning March 3rd and will be closed for approximately&nbsp; one year. 

Route your arrival from the East on Berney Station road.

We are located off a slew of the Beautiful Lake Martin

We offer primitive camping with waterfront lots, fishing, hunting, swimming, kayak rentals.

We have a beach swimming area, , horseshoe pit, porta potty, porta shower, boat ramp, dock, dogs allowed, and kayaks for rent. Can fish, swim, hunt. We are located on a slew off Lake Martin. Campers get free usage  of pedal boat.

Learn more about this land:We have accessibility to Lake Martin! Kayak rentals, swimming area with beach, , fishing, grilling, campfire area, hunting, boat ramp available, and a dock for boats. Update: We are strictly primitive with no bathhouse, we have a porta potty for usage May-September. Also our swimming area dries up with the Lake being lowered late October-early March . But can still  have water usage for boat/kayak thru boat ramp across street.

Camp in Camp Hill!

This 130-acre farm has been used for grazing cattle for a long time, but is now under the watchful eye of owner and landscape architect, in process of becoming a sheep grazing operation with aspirations of ecological restoration. It has something for everyone - some exciting forests and beautiful thick grasslands to explore, apond for those looking to fish, lots of wildlife and excellent birding! Come explore!
