This is a great spot! Nice grassy spot to set up a tent, there is a three-walled shelter set up to get some shade and cover if it rains. The outhouse is very clean. We weren't able to have a campfire because the wind was blowing but there is a campfire spot with a hose for small fires if the conditions are good. Gerry welcomed us and showed us where everything was located. The water comes from a local well and has a lot of minerals but is drinkable.

Host is very friendly and welcoming. That being said when I selected “site 8” I thought I would have one other campsite next to me. There ended up being at least 4 other groups on the same plot of land. She said that HipCamp made her denote them as sites but there is really just one large site and spots are first come first serve.

While fairly close to the highway I did think the property was pretty cool and backs up to a lot of trails.

There is a single privy with no electricity on the property. Privy was clean and had TP and hand sanitizer and a washing station outside.

There are a TON of Prarie dogs on the property and holes everywhere which felt a little weird covering them with a tent.

The biggest negative to me was that even though I added a pet on HipCamp I guess it didn’t deduct the pet fee and when I asked if 2 additional people (what I booked said up to 6 people on my booking) she suggested I pay the missing pet fee and an additional camping fee equal to what I had paid. Felt ripped off afterwards.

There were two other groups (one of two girls and one of three girls) that night in your area and the couple that came later in evening and left at 6am stayed in a whole different area . From what I see on my end it says site payment is for two people and one vehicle. The site a camper chooses or I direct if I am there (was at a funeral) can accomodate up to 6 people but there is a fee for anything above two persons and and any more than one vehicle of $15 per extra person and $15/per extra vehicle. Pets are $15/each per night and you had two. I was not aware of the extra people being there until I raced back from a funeral. The Pod camper was already set up but I said you could move to have lots more space.

Incredible star gazing on clear nights! Close to a variety of hiking options. Loved going to Eagle River Park just up the road to cool off after hiking. Gerry was very responsive and we had a good stay. The lean-to was handy to have shade for preparing meals and relaxing. The wooden outhouse building was clean.

We enjoyed camping on Gerry's land! The space was really convenient and right off of the highway. We appreciated that there was potable water and a really clean bathroom on site. There are so many nice trails and hiking directly from the site. For those of you who are horse lovers, there are so many pretty horses on this site and near the area! The sunset here was also stunning. Gerry was super welcoming and friendly and we'd definitely stay here again!

Relaxing at our campground!A convenient shelter in case it rains can fit your tent plus picnic tables. There's also a bin for trash and a fire pit.Pretty walking paths around the property. We decided to go on an evening hike during our stay!

Staying with Gerry was nice. The property has a great view of the red canyon so it was easy to relax after a couple of long days.
