Driveway is rock and dirt so reasonable ground clearance and good tires are recommended. Bear proof dumpster on site. Reservations required. Campfires depend on Colorado fire bans. We both have much experience in the hospitality industry and have more plans for this property. All questions are welcome.

Alex and Mary were so welcoming and kind. If you’re lucky enough, Mary will make you some delicious baked goods. The views are incredible and the land is so peaceful. 10/10! We’ll be back for sure.
We had an amazing family camping experience at Hillfort! The drive back to the property was beautiful. We saw deer, antelope and turkey. Alex and Mary Anne greeted us and showed us around the property. We camped at one of their primitive spots which was very private and secluded, but easy to access with our 25 ft travel trailer. We were able run our generator without disturbing anyone. The property backs up to a National forest so there are lots of places to hike and explore without running into any other people. A true Colorado beauty with the nicest hosts!! We hope to return one day to try Mary Anne’s muffins!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We had the most awesome time staying here! Amazing view, GREAT hosts, delicious muffins and coffee in the morning and an amazing little getaway. We will forever make it a point to stay here several times a year. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!
