Primitive Camping Near the Sangre' de Cristo Mountains in Colorado! Five whole acres of peace and quiet! Off road adventure, nature, wildlife, hiking, biking, fishing & paddling nearby at Smith Reservoir, or just star gazing beside your contained fire (always check for local burn-ban restrictions). RV Camping at its most rustic. This is rugged, mildly rolling terrain in the San Luis Mountain Valley, so a 4x4 would come in handy, but is not absolutely necessary. Amenities include the view, stars, peace & quiet tranquility, and nearby Smith Reservoir; apx. 2 miles from property, at the end of Highway 12. Nearby is the historic town of Fort Garland...just up Hwy 159, where you can visit the Fort Garland Museum and Cultural Center, the White Mountain Trading Post, as well as several restaurants and eateries.
