This suburban campground is conveniently located along US 287 close to Boulder, Longmont, Lafayette, Erie, and Louisville. The neighborhood is a quiet and charming area with the feel of a much more rural area. Each campsite features a flat turf pad camp area to set up table, chairs, etc and plenty of room to pull in your car, van, or other camping vehicle. We offer standard 110 (20 amp) electrical plugs at each site. If your rig pulls more than 20 amps you are likely to trip the breaker. There is access to fresh, potable water on the property, but not at each site, so plan to fill your tanks with this. Gated access with a complete fence provides privacy and security. Nearby Erie and Lafayette are within biking distance. This campground is located in a residential neighborhood and we ask that campers are respectful of noise levels. No fires permitted. There is a barn located on the property within the campsite, which is located behind a residential home, but separated by a 6 foot privacy fence.

Simple & adequate for our needs.
This campsite filled a need for us. It is in close proximity to family members, and allowed us out-of-staters to camp nearby for a night, in our own small travel trailer, with our dog. We were able to use our own composting toilet, and our relative’s shower, so just having a basic place to park, hook up power, and have a quiet, safe night’s rest was all we needed. The gravel and astroturf surfaces helped us handle the rainy weather with a minimum of dirt carried into our abode.

Great secure place. But be aware.
Great place to stop if you need to be in the Boulder/Denver area. Secure, clean and easy enough to get to. I wasn’t met by anyone when coming in and I wasn’t offered any help. I will say I was super tired and the whole purpose of staying here was to charge my lithium batteries. They have an electrical post with 2 pairs of 15 amp outlets. Only the left appeared to have a GFCI on it, so knowing that my trailer trips those, I plugged it in to the left upper since it appeared to be 2 separate outlets. I used a 30a to 15a dog bone. I had used this at my last plug in while in CA. I know it works. As soon as I pushed it in, the green light would go to red. In otherwords, the GFCI tripped. I tried that several times, had to reset on both sides. It didn’t make sense to me, but maybe they are wiring them differently now for code. I didn’t get an offer to be right out to help or “Let me call my electrician” texts. It was late and I knew I had to move on if I wanted to get a decent place to charge. I never received an offer for a refund, so that was poopy. As a former Hipcamp Host that’s the first thing I would have said along with sorry & safe travels. Lesson learned.

Convenient camp near everything!
We stayed extra days because we enjoyed this campground so much! Being in this neighborhood allowed us to visit downtown Denver, Boulder, Estes Park, and Golden. Quiet, peaceful neighborhood. The big tree is a little low hanging so just be aware if you have a tall rig. Our dogs loved the astroturf pads. Fence and gated entry offered secure privacy. Water pump on site worked well. We used our adapter and surge protector with the 110 outlets and everything worked great. However, we were here during late Sept/early October and we didn’t run AC a single time, only (gas powered) heat in the evenings.

Awesome camping near Denver w/dogs!
We loved staying at this peaceful neighborhood campground as we explored Denver & the surrounding area. It was our first time in the state and we loved having a great home base to come back to after all our adventures. The dogs loved it, and we loved being able to walk them around the neighborhood, and also around Erie Lake (5 min drive). Loved that it was fully fenced in and graveled. The space felt very private even when shared with other RV campers. Most mornings we enjoyed seeing hot air balloons launch in the field behind. While in town- we visited Red Rocks Park & Amphitheater, Estes Park, Boulder, Golden, and downtown Denver. If you stay here be sure to eat at Organic Sandwich Co., it’s the bomb!!! OTIS Craft Collective, City ‘o City, & Watercourse were also quality spots to grab food and/or coffee! Brownfield’s at Estes Park is the best place to buy souvenirs. The local Sprouts and King Soopers were great grocery stores with a big selection. I also recommend Bamboo Forest, across from Sprouts, to get a massage.
