Nice field campsite with a view
Sandra was very nice and helpful. The site is next to the Corn field and has a nice view on the mountains. It was very simple but very practical for us since it’s 30min away from Boulder, Fort Collins and 40min from Estes Park.
If you are looking to explore Colorado, this is an excellent place to begin. It felt like I had one foot in town, and one foot in the mountains! I was able to get to both Boulder and Estes Park in around 45 minutes.
The location is not difficult to find, but of course I found myself unsure of if I was in the right spot to park (arriving during daylight would've helped me), and I reached out to Sandy to double-check. She was more than helpful, coming out to the road to greet me and to direct me to the proper location. Great communication from her throughout and I felt welcomed.
The site was not too tricky to get into and get level with a 20' travel trailer, but if you had a bigger rig it might be a challenge. If you orientate yourself facing west you will have a gorgeous mountain view! I stayed for 5 nights and I would've stayed longer. Sandy even let me add an additional day at the end :) There were other campers there, coming and going during my stay, and I had no issues with noise or privacy. I did get to meet her daughter, who brought me water; as well as her husband Kevin. Kevin knows a whole lot about solar power, and it was a treat to get to speak with them both before I left. I felt much less far from home.
I would recommend this place to anyone coming anywhere near here, whether just for a single night while passing through, or for a whole week like I did!
Quite,clean,friendly and safe
The host was very pleasant and helpful The place was very clean. Campsites give you privacy between campsites. I would definitely recommend this campsite and would revisit.
Last minute campsite
It was good for what we needed. We are good with dry camping so the open feild was good. Really no privacy where we were but plenty of room to spread out. Sandra was very helpful and accommodating. Let us stay as long as we needed. It did have great mountain views.
We needed a spot last minute on a busy September Friday. Sandra communicated quickly with our options before we committed. Sandra met us when we arrived & offered us a couple places to park. We had a great spot on the farm with plenty of privacy.
Cozy spot for entry level campers
This was our first time using HipCamp and we couldn’t have started with a better campsite! Sandra provided a nice, comfortable, and safe spot on her land. Great view of the mountains! Close enough to town that you’ll be able to get whatever you need but far enough away that you don’t hear much traffic or anything. Only about 45 minutes to an hour from the mountains. After a days drive from Ohio we couldn’t have felt more comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone
The property is beautifully situated in front of the Rocky Mountains. Gorgeous views from the campsite, especially at sunrise. No toilets, but a luggable loo was offered upon arrival. A great place to stay on your way to a handful of national parks!
