At the moment there is only one camp on site, you may see us coming and going as we work on installing our tiny homes, we own another piece of property up the road. If you would like me to show you around let me know. Otherwise please stay off the main road and avoid my nosey neighbors! Our availability is currently limited as the temperature drops.

If you are interested in hosting an event or have a specific request let me know and I can work with you, I can host larger day events, like weddings, birthday parties or camps, for an extra fee.

Gorgeous spot in a mountainous, forested area. Two miles up a dirt road brings you to a remote destination just 40 minutes from downtown Colorado Springs, or 40 minutes away from rafting in Canyon City. The property is on a creek and backs up to landlocked BLM. There are lots of opportunities to watch for wildlife and flowers. Retreat completely away from the noise of the city and find some peace.

Please leave your campsite nicer then you found it.

I live about 40 minutes away from the campground. I do come in 3-5 times a week and check on things, but there is a possibility that I will not be around before the next guests arrive. Please be courteous and pack out everything you bring with you.  This also means that there is no host on site. Please be respectful of other campers around you.

A couple of days before you stay Hipcamp will automatically send you more specific directions for getting back to camp. If you don't get these directions or you have any questions please let me know. There is very little cell service, because you are truly in the mountains out here. (If you have Verizon you may find you have a little up by the second gate) This means that I am also away from service, so it is possible I will not be able to respond to your messages right away. If you tell me when you are planning on arriving I can know to keep an eye on my phone then in case you have any questions on your way in.

The campsites are situated around a large oval driveway. Park off of the driveway to allow for other vehicles to pull through. You can drive right up to the tent site.

You must have a 4WD vehicle (this is the first question I will ask you.) And you must show up before dark. Please plan accordingly. You don't want to be driving this road for the first time at night.

Please understand that my husband and I both work full time. There are days where our schedule is NOT wide open, and we appreciate your patience and understanding, everything will not be perfect. But I am committed to doing everything in my power to make sure you have a lovely stay. Please let me know how I can help.

Your nightly rate covers five people, two tents, and two vehicles. If you have an extra vehicle and/or tent, you can add them on as guests.

Our goal is to make nature, and public land, accessible to everyone! The nightly fee is really a suggested donation that helps to fund the portapotty. If you can't afford it just let me know I am happy to waive the fee.

We had an excellent stay at Blue Mountain Reserve! The site it beautiful, well maintained, and feels so far removed while being close enough to Colorado Springs to access anything you need. The drive in was gorgeous and we were greeted by Trinity, who happened to be at the site doing some maintenance. She was friendly and gave us a few tips for small hikes from the site. We had a lovely night, enjoying the quiet and views. Would absolutely stay again!

Lovely forested area! I'd recommend coming with a group who can book all three sites together since the sites are close together. There is a beautiful stream that our kids loved, and also a steep path that is being cleared out that leads up to the ridge line for nice views. A great weekend trip!

Amazing camp site! Thick forest, quiet and the host is probably the most organized woman ever! Directions were easy and spot on, there was info on boards for newbies, site was very clean. Very happy little trip.

This camp spot is perfect for going into town for tourist activities. It’s about a 25 min drive to Colorado Springs and 40 min to Manitou Springs. Otherwise make sure you bring games or something to do.

We had a great time with our friends and were excited to have a portapotty. Except for the fact that we kept getting whiffs of it. Also the other campsites are pretty close to each other. We had a great time with our friends and only had neighbors the last night of our visit. The drive up was fine, even our friends in the van got up the road with no problem.

Thank you for your feedback. We are always working to improve the space, Someday I also hope we will have a better solution than a portapotty.

Our time at Blue Mountain Reserve was fabulous- one of my most favorite Hip Camp stays. The spot is one of two located on their property in a heavily wooded area (with plenty of even terrain for pitching your tent,) next to a creek, with absolutely beautiful views. Although the property has 2 sites, they are spaced apart to a decent amount to allow for plenty of peace and quiet. Trinity and her family take a lot of care to ensure your stay on their property is really enjoyable- we arrived to find a large tent already set up for our use! Considering we arrived a couple hours later then anticipated, this was a hugely convenient and very much appreciated. They also stopped by a couple of times to stock firewood and ensure we were comfortable. As far as campground amenities go- they had a shared port-a-potty available, plenty of chairs, large fire rings at each site, picnic tables, potable water, and buckets for extinguishing your fire. What more could a camper want from a family-friendly site? I highly recommend this spot- we hope to go back someday soon.

Another beautiful view. Sunday morning. This photo doesn’t do the stars justice, but they’re gorgeous from the campground. Our kids loved the creek- it’s perfect for letting the little ones wade in.

Creekside Hideaway is a gorgeous secluded getaway! We enjoyed falling asleep to the sounds of the nearby creek! Trinity answered all our questions and gave great directions too! Enjoyed a small evening fire. Creekside breakfast was enhanced by all of the hummingbirds cruising thru camp!

What a little hidden gem. I was amazed with how tucked away and remote this location felt. I honestly can’t tell you what was best. The cave full of beautiful green life in the very back, or the arrangement of different mushrooms, or the sound of the creek lazily flowing by. This was such a fantastic place to spend the weekend away with my husband and our family on our 8th wedding anniversary. I so recommend coming. There’s so much I didn’t touch on. The path being cut by the host is phenomenal for views, and the sweet little fairy tale vibe is everything. To top it all off the hosts were so friendly and welcoming.

I stayed here the second night of a 2 week camping adventure.
Let me tell ya, this place will knock the dust off of your soul.
Beautiful spots and so quiet the only thing you will hear is the stream next to the campsites.
Very thankful for the amenities provided.
You definitely do need 4 wheel drive to get there, but it’s worth it!
