Welcome to Big Sky Country, where the views seem to go on forever and the sunrises and sunsets put on a show every day. My 35-acre property sits at approximately 7,500 feet elevation with sweeping 360-degree views for miles, including the snow-capped Uinta Mountains in the distance. There are no close neighbors—unless you count the occasional cattle or sheep wandering through, since this is open-range country. By day, you’ll find wide-open sage seas, junipers, red cliffs, distant mountains, and plenty of that untamed Wyoming landscape. You may hear coyotes howling after sunset, and every now and then the faint whistle or rumble of a distant train carries across the open country—a wonderfully Western soundtrack to the landscape. And when night falls, the real show begins. With virtually no nearby light pollution, the dark night skies here can be spectacular. On clear nights, the Milky Way stretches across the sky, surrounded by more stars than you’ll ever see from town. Bring a chair, a blanket, or just lie back and enjoy one of the best features of being this far from civilization. This is the Wild West at its best—quiet, rugged, spacious, and wonderfully uncrowded. Pull in your RV, pitch a tent, and enjoy having a little piece of Wyoming all to yourself. If you enjoy rock hounding and fossil hunting too, look underfoot and head toward the cliff edges for shell fossils. There’s also plenty to explore nearby. The historic Piedmont ghost town and charcoal kilns are 10 minutes away. The majestic Uinta Mountains are roughly 45 minutes southeast via the beautiful Mirror Lake Scenic Byway (WY-150). In Evanston, visit Bear River State Park to see the local bison herd—including its famous white bison—then explore the Historic Depot Area and the Union Pacific Roundhouse and Railyards. Downtown Main Street feels like a step back in time and is also home to the local brewery, Suds. A little farther east along I-80 is historic Fort Bridger, another great stop for anyone interested in the history of the Old West. Fishing is available at nearby Sulphur Creek reservoir and along the Bear River. Come for the wide-open spaces, stay for the sunsets—and wait until you see the Milky Way.

Prefer to stay on land? You’ll find endless hiking opportunities nearby, with scenic trails ranging from easy walks to challenging backcountry adventures, all showcasing the breathtaking beauty of Dinosaur National Monument and the surrounding landscape. We offer two different campsites: • Green River Getaway– Located directly along the Green River, surrounded by cottonwood trees and white sandy beaches, providing a true riverside camping experience. • Cottonwood Hideout– This site includes a fence and gate between the campsite and the river, making it a great option for guests with small children. It also features cottonwood trees that provide shade from the summer sun. *Book either campsite and have the entire property to yourself! We manually block off the other site whenever one is booked, so there will never be two separate camping parties staying at the same time. Enjoy the river, beach, and beautiful surroundings in complete privacy. *During the summer months, mosquitoes can occasionally be heavy due to the proximity to the river. To help with this, we provide tiki torches filled with mosquito-repellent oil at both campsites. We also recommend bringing personal insect repellent for added comfort. This Learn more about this land: Pitch your tent (or rent one of ours) on the beautiful sandy beaches of the Green River. You will be surrounded by the unique landscape of North Eastern Utah. The river is constantly changing so the exact location of the campsite is adjusted accordingly to provide the best experience for our guests. You will have a private campsite with BBQ pit or fire ring, fire starter kit, and wood. There is access to a common area for latrine, dressing area, gravity fed solar shower, and eco-friendly toiletries. The river is full of fun and relaxation. There are life vests, kid and adult kayaks, sand toys, and more available for rent. The campsite is on the fringe of a large hay farm so you may spot farming in action. Fort Tabby is a rustic glamping and outdoor retreat featuring distinctive painted tipis set against a backdrop of rolling hills, open skies, and a nearby river. The site’s tipis are the centerpiece. One is decorated with deer and geometric borders in earth tones; another features a bold American flag motif with stars and stripes; a third depicts galloping horses silhouetted against a sunset gradient.
