Our 40-acre property features forested trails, a large pond, two smaller ponds, a creek, and frequent wildlife sightings—all under spectacular starlit skies. We offer a unique "Coolcation" experience as a peaceful alternative to crowded RV parks, located just 6 miles from the entrance to Glacier National Park! CHOOSING YOUR SITE ⛺ Please let us know if you have multiple tents or vehicles so we can recommend the best spot. 💧 DRY CAMPING: No hookups provided. Non-Potable Hydrants are available throughout the campground. 🚛 LARGE RIGS: Sites 1–6 are best for larger vehicles. These are in an open, flat meadow with views of the pond. ⛺ SECLUDED TENTS: We recommend the "Back Meadow" (Sites 7, 8, 10-17, 19-20) for more privacy, especially in July and August. 📏 LIMITS: Sites 7–20 accommodate vehicles/trailers up to 36 feet total length because of an access bridge. 🚻 AMENITIES: All sites are back-in (except 13 and 16, which are pull-through), offer partial shade, and have access to clean vault toilets. GOOD TO KNOW 📢 Due to our proximity to the National Park and the main highway, some traffic and train noise may be heard. To keep our environment pleasant and reduce dust on Greens Road, please keep driving speeds to a minimum. Clyde Home Gun of the Blackfeet Tribe has established this primitive cultural campground to host traveling tourists. The primitive cultural campground serves recreational needs such as campers, bikers and hikers seasonally beginning in the spring and into the early fall. The Home Gun primitive ranch cultural campground also serves as an educational, cultural center for tourists that features Native American storytelling, craft making, dancing and singing. The campground is located adjacent to Glacier National Park off Montana State highway 89 west and Starr School Road (B.I.A 8 West). "Primitive Camp" is defined as a camping area with no utilities, such as electrical, sewer and running water. The project is a design and a build development project by Clyde Home Gun, a tribal member, on land held in Trust by the United States Government. These are newly developed sites (2021) nested on the back of our property about 200ft from our house on a dead-end road. We have rural neighborhood vibe, with a 2 mile scenic paved walking path nearby. We have newly planted trees and shrubs, so not much afternoon shade. With the open areas sunrises and sunsets are fantastic! Both back in sites are 40’ in length with extra vehicle parking available. Please confirm your measurements before booking. There is enough room to easily pull in and then back into your spot. Ideal for Class-A motor-homes, fifth wheels, tent trailers, travel trailers, pick-up campers and self-contained van campers. Additionally, 1 tent is allowed at each site. Because there are no bathrooms we are unable to accept TENT ONLY camping at this time. Both campsites have full hookups including artisan well water, septic, with 50 amp electric on site #2 and 30 & 50 amp electric on site #3. Garbage receptacle is located by the east side of the greenhouse. Plenty to see and do in the Flathead Valley. Lots of wonderful local restaurants, pubs, breweries and wineries. Tons of trails to hike, rivers to raft, lakes to boat and parks to stroll. We have a list of our favorites, don’t hesitate to ask!

We are only a few minutes drive to the west entrance to Glacier National Park, the Hungry Horse Reservoir and Desert Mountain Recreation Area. Our site is self-sufficient and offers big-sky mountain views that are ideal for stargazers and those just looking to be away from the crowds while visiting the Glacier National Park area. You’ll likely be visited by whitetail deer and our resident elk herd during the summer months. You'll need to be self-contained. Generators are ok between 9.am and 9pm. This campsite is located at the top of Bierney Creek Road and offers beautiful views of the Mission Mountains and Flathead Lake from the main clearing on the property. The site sits on 17 private acres, with the northern boundary adjoining the National Forest. Wildlife is abundant in the area, so it is important to keep a close eye on children and pets and to practice proper food storage. Never store food outdoors near the campsite, and make sure all cooking takes place at least 100 yards away from sleeping areas. Feel free to explore the property, but please be mindful of the property boundaries and respect the neighboring landowners.
