Big Bog State Recreation Area Campground isn’t just a local gem, its fame spans nationwide. Sometimes called Minnesota’s last true wilderness, Big Bog State Recreation Area is home to a 500-square-mile peat bog, the largest in the lower 48 states, and a mile-long boardwalk lets you get up close and person with its rare plant and animal life, many of which are on Minnesota’s endangered species list. The southern side of the park is home to a campsites, camper cabins, a sandy beach and great fishing.

This beautiful privately owned cabin is nestled on 10 acres and 3/4 of a mile from the south shore of Upper Red Lake. There is a fire ring out back for night time bonfires. Enjoy the sounds of nature while sipping on your morning coffee on the screened in Porch! Guest are reminded to bring bottled water ( if preferred) paper towels,bundles of fire wood, charcoal for grill.
