A short steep walk leads to our second campsite overlooking the sweet and serene Wolf Creek. Follow the signs up the path to your secluded accommodations: total privacy, gorgeous views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and a cozy creekside bed that feels like a world away! Note: Due to the staircase, this site is not recommended for those with mobility issues (pick sites #1 and #4 for drive-right-up access).

This is socially distanced 'glamping' at its finest! The Wolf Creek Adventure Camp is located on our family's private 50 acres, steps from a beach and swimming hole, and with plenty of room for extra tents. This canvas 'glamping' tent offers one queen-sized bed with bedding,  BBQ, and an outdoor propane fire pit for cozy evenings.  (leashed) Dogs and children welcome! On the Wild Plumas property, you'll find something for everyone, including a treehouse, zip line, and tipi.

Please note: Our community was severely affected by the Dixie Fire. Although you can't tell from within our property, the nearby area was heavily burnt, as well as the nearby town of Greenville. During your stay, you may hear the sounds of Greenville as the town rebuilds (1.5 miles away)- we thank you for your patience, and especially for your ongoing support!

Your reservation includes four people and one car. Additional people can be added for $10 per night. Not sure your plans? We get it! If you need to postpone your reservation, we allow✨no-fee✨re-booking (outside of 72-hours before your reservation please).  You can view more photos and adventures on Facebook and Instagram at @WildPlumas.

Activities in the area: Fishing or boating at nearby Lake Almanor, or Round Valley Lake, is always popular. We also highly recommend a visit to Mount Lassen National Park (one hour).

If you have any questions about other nearby activities, feel free to reach out to us! Otherwise, many of our campers enjoy the simple things- a lawn chair with a good book in the creek, or watching the kids make little pots out of the clay in the pond. Safety first, but we always encourage adventure, playing in the mud, and free-range children. The Wolf Creek Adventure Camp may not have wifi, and we promise you will never be bored!

Important rules:

1.) Arrive by 9 p.m- our roads are not lit and an early arrival ensures you will safely find your site (and not disturb others)

2.) Leave your generators and drones at home

3.) No smoking or wood fires allowed anywhere on the property

4.) Make sure ALL adults and dogs in your group are registered with Hipcamp so they fall under their insurance policy. The fee for dogs is $20 per dog, per each reservation.

Was Wild Plumas affected by the Dixie Fire? No. Our property was not affected, but the nearby town of Greenville was. The grocery store still stands but the rest of town is mostly gone. There is a lot of destruction and cleanup, but no safety concerns for our guests (ask us how to find the beautiful murals painted on many of the buildings!) Thank you for supporting the businesses that survived!

Are extra people ok, and is there a charge? Four adults are included in your reservation, and there is no charge for any number of children. Additional adults are $10/night, just add them in the checkout process.

Check-in and check-out times: Are 3:00 pm and 10:00 am. Thank you for checking out promptly. We are booked back to back and it does take a few hours to clean the sites.

Is there an extra cost for animals or vehicles? There is a $20 pet fee for dogs ($20 each per reservation). We love your dogs and encourage you to bring them, but it does create considerable extra work for us in order to make sure the next guest has a pet-free experience. You can add this fee in the 'add-on' section at check out.

Where is the bathroom? About 1,000 feet away. If you want a site with the bathroom very closeby, choose site #4.

How far is the campsite from parking? About 500 feet. We provide you with a wagon to haul your clothing and food. You may also park at the beach near the campsite, but the last 500' is very rough and it is not recommended. This site is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues.

How many people can the tent sleep? Two comfortably, plus four on the floor.

Is there room for extra tents? Yes! Plenty.

Are large school groups permitted? For sure! We have hosted up to 50! Just message us for group ideas. We can even offer guided tours of the property and use of the climbing wall.

How do I store food? Only in your vehicle.

Do I need to worry about bears in the tent? Our black bears are not a threat, but they can be pesky. Please practice good camping etiquette and leave all trash and food in your cars when you're not in the camp.

Any other questions or concerns we are just a message away! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hosting you this summer.

Wild Plumas is an amazing place! The property is beautiful, there is so much to explore and we absolutely loved the Wolf Creek site. It is the most private camping experience we've had and we really enjoyed the proximity to the creek for exploring, swimming, and relaxing. There are so many thoughtful details- the water jug with truly tasty well water, soap bar & cookies, beach chairs (Josie even brought us some in case we needed some while we were enjoying beach time at the creek), the BBQ and fire pit, and much more! Could not recommend a visit highly enough! Thank you, Josie & camp hosts!

This place if definitely a place for peace and tranquility. My husband even said he knew places like this even existed anywhere in California and doesn’t want me telling anyone about it. If u want to enjoy nature and a clean cold running creek this is the place. The glamping tents & set up is amazingly perfect. We made our own potty with a 5gal Pail & toilet lid along with waste bags which is perfect for late night so u don’t have to walk in dark. They even have a very hot shower towards the entrance which was so nice if u don’t have time to warm the creek water for ur own shower and the cleanest drinking water from their own well. This is my 2nd time visiting & will be back every year. The only downfall is it being 9 hours away from our home. We wish it were closer so we could go at least once a month. There wasn’t a soul in site and I hope it stays that way. Thanks again Josie & Dan for creating such a spectacular place to share with others and to have it right in the forest by a fresh creek is even better. Bring a raft or float to lay on in the creek for the day time to cool off and just hang out. Can’t wait to come back

Wild Plumas is an incredible place curated with a huge amount of love and care by Josie and Dan. They are dedicated not only to their guests but to maintaining the land in a way that is both sustainable and respectful of its history and ecology, something we all admired very much. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We are return guests and we didn’t know it was possible but it only got better! The most amazing, magical, peaceful place to unplug and reconnect with your family and friends. I believe spot #2 is the most private, we felt like we were all alone in the best way. I wish I could give this 100 stars, Josie & her family have made this place into P A R A D I S E!

We absolutely loved staying with Wild Plumas on Wolf Creek. It felt so safe, and the camp hots treated us like good friends. Having a place where the kids could adventure was extra-special, and we loved all the hand-hewn yellow pine steps and camp shelves.
