A short walk leads to our second campsite overlooking the sweet and serene Wolf Creek. Follow the signs up the path to your secluded accommodations: total privacy, gorgeous views of the Sierra Nevada mountains, and a cozy creekside bed that feels like a world away!

This is socially distanced 'glamping' at its finest! The Wolf Creek Adventure Camp is located on our family's private 50 acres, steps from a beach and swimming hole, and with plenty of room for extra tents. This canvas 'glamping' tent offers one queen-sized bed with bedding,  BBQ, and an outdoor propane fire pit for cozy evenings.  Dogs and children welcome! On the Wild Plumas property, you'll find something for everyone, including a treehouse, zip line, and tipi.

Please note: Our community was severely affected by the Dixie Fire. Although you can't tell from within our property, the nearby area was heavily burnt, as well as the nearby town of Greenville. During your stay, you may hear the sounds of Greenville as the town rebuilds (1.5 miles away)- we thank you for your patience, and especially for your ongoing support!

Your reservation includes four people and one car. Additional people can be added for $10 per night. Not sure your plans? We get it! If you need to postpone your reservation, we allow✨no-fee✨re-booking (outside of 72-hours before your reservation please).  You can view more photos and adventures on Facebook and Instagram at @WildPlumas.

Activities in the area: Fishing or boating at nearby Lake Almanor, or Round Valley Lake, is always popular. We also highly recommend a visit to Mount Lassen National Park (one hour).

If you have any questions about other nearby activities, feel free to reach out to us! Otherwise, many of our campers enjoy the simple things- a lawn chair with a good book in the creek, or watching the kids make little pots out of the clay in the pond. Safety first, but we always encourage adventure, playing in the mud, and free-range children. The Wolf Creek Adventure Camp may not have wifi, and we promise you will never be bored!

Important rules:

1.) Arrive by 9 p.m- our roads are not lit and an early arrival ensures you will safely find your site (and not disturb others)

2.) Leave your generators and drones at home

3.) No smoking or wood fires allowed anywhere on the property

4.) Make sure ALL adults and dogs in your group are registered with Hipcamp so they fall under their insurance policy. The fee for dogs is $20 per dog, per each reservation.

FAQ's:

Was Wild Plumas affected by the Dixie Fire? No. Our property was not affected, but the nearby town of Greenville was. The grocery store still stands but the rest of town is mostly gone. There is a lot of destruction and cleanup, but no safety concerns for our guests (ask us how to find the beautiful murals painted on many of the buildings!) Thank you for supporting the businesses that survived!

Are extra people ok, and is there a charge? Four adults are included in your reservation, and there is no charge for any number of children. Additional adults are $10/night, just add them in the checkout process.

Check-in and check-out times: Are 3:00 pm and 10:00 am. Thank you for checking out promptly. We are booked back to back and it does take a few hours to clean the sites.

Is there an extra cost for animals or vehicles? There is a $20 pet fee for dogs ($20 each per reservation). We love your dogs and encourage you to bring them, but it does create considerable extra work for us in order to make sure the next guest has a pet-free experience. You can add this fee in the 'add-on' section at check out.

How far is the campsite from parking? About 500 feet. We provide you with a wagon to haul your clothing and food. You may also park at the beach near the campsite, but the last 500' is very rough and it is not recommended.

How many people can the tent sleep? Two comfortably, plus four on the floor.

Is there room for extra tents? Yes! Plenty.

Are large school groups permitted? For sure! We have hosted up to 50! Just message us for group ideas. We can even offer guided tours of the property and use of the climbing wall.

How do I store food? Only in your vehicle.

Do I need to worry about bears in the tent? Our black bears are not a threat, but they can be pesky. Please practice good camping etiquette and leave all trash and food in your cars when you're not in the camp.

Any other questions or concerns we are just a message away! Thank you for your interest and we look forward to hosting you this summer.

We loved staying here! Lots of things right on the property to do. My kids really enjoyed the zip line, swimming in the creek, & the giant swing at our campsite. 🙂We had a wonderful time & would definitely go back!

Wild Plumas is an incredible place curated with a huge amount of love and care by Josie and Dan. They are dedicated not only to their guests but to maintaining the land in a way that is both sustainable and respectful of its history and ecology, something we all admired very much. Cannot recommend highly enough!

We are return guests and we didn’t know it was possible but it only got better! The most amazing, magical, peaceful place to unplug and reconnect with your family and friends. I believe spot #2 is the most private, we felt like we were all alone in the best way. I wish I could give this 100 stars, Josie & her family have made this place into P A R A D I S E!

We absolutely loved staying with Wild Plumas on Wolf Creek. It felt so safe, and the camp hots treated us like good friends. Having a place where the kids could adventure was extra-special, and we loved all the hand-hewn yellow pine steps and camp shelves.

Campsite was very cute and had all basic needs; canvas tent with bed and loveseat inside, hammock, picnic table, propane fire pit, wooden shelving, etc. site was close to the river but the water is so low right now, we never got to use our inner tubes. We explored the property a bit and stumbled upon some huge does crossing our path, nearly right into us! That was really cool to see! Port-a-potty was designated to just our site which was a nice touch and appreciated. We had plenty of potable water and propane for the four days we were there. One day we drove to Lake Almanor to play in the water and packed a picnic lunch, highly recommend!
