Pros: Farm location so nice and open! Really cute farm animals (goats & chickens) and barn cats that we played with. Fresh eggs you can buy. Nice Verizon and Sprint reception. There is a gate too so feels safer. Water pressure was great.
Semi-Cons: The electric is 15/20 amp but connected to a 30 amp breaker so not 100% how safe that is but mostly worked for us. Sewer is in front of house so you will need to move your RV if you need to dump during your stay. You will hear the goats and chickens but we didn't mind it.
We would stay there again :)
There are two spots for RVs on this property. Both were level and had water and 20 amp 120 volt electricity. The owners are both good to talk to. We chose to stay in the site behind one of the buildings because it was in the shade. There are farm animals nearby which was fine by me. The peacock reminded me of where I used to live 45 years ago. It was perfect for what we were looking for that day: a place to rest overnight on our trip from Washington State to Arizona.
White Mammoth Ranch is a little gem right off Hwy 99. A great way to get a farm experience. Denise and John are very accommodating and friendly. Their compassion shows in the rescued goats and chickens in the barnyard. There is nothing better than farm fresh eggs either. I highly recommend White Mammoth Ranch.
Loved camping here! The site was near enough to the freeway to be convenient but far enough away that it felt like we were out in the country. The actual site, with water and electricity, was right next to goats and chickens which was fun. The only noise we noticed was nature. Would definitely recommend and book again if our travels take us this way again. Oh- the water tasted good- something I can only say about a handful of the many RV and campgrounds we’ve stayed at.
The White Mammoth Ranch worked out well for us. It has hookups, and is clean, safe, easy, private, and right off 152. The hosts are very responsive. And the goats are cute. :)
Great stay
We found Denise’s property to be perfect for our stopover in Chowchilla during our California road trip. We stayed near the goat pen and had electrical hookup, water and sewer. Denise was very friendly and very accommodating.
Denise was very welcoming and her site was a perfect stopover on our road trip. The site itself is located in their large driveway and had everything we needed.
