The Wolf House
Comfortable Cabin
Had a little weekend getaway here with friends. We were able to bring our dog which was a dream as he loves to be a part of everything we do (if you bring yours keep them on leash as there is still some construction equipment on the ground outside). Located off the highway road on a dirt/gravel road so go slow as to not miss the road going into the property. Highlights- nice property with desert/ distance mountain range scenery (beautiful sunset/sunrise), Wifi (great for access to work and streaming!), microwave, fridge, running water, bathroom, shower, 2 beds, table for 4 and a nice fire pit. Stove was a bit finicky- took a while for burners to bring water to a boil; so bring a mini gas stove to cook with as we did and your golden. The cold winter night wasn’t a problem as space heaters were provided. Outdoor chairs are provided but bring the lounge kind that go back so you can stargaze!! The starry sky is perfect. Host was amazing, provided a lot a details and fast response time. This place is perfect for those who want to stargaze with comfort.

BYO Tent-Off Grid Under Stars!
Vik always responded to our messages the same day. He gave very helpful tips re: the site, and the direction was easy to follow. We only stayed one night, but fully enjoyed the experience of sleeping under the stars and not having any other campers around!! I'd stay at his site again! Thank you, Vik!

Great site to see the stars, only 20mins or so to Joshua Tree Natl Park. A little tough to get to, so I recommend getting there during the day.

The scenery is gorgeous! It’s so quiet out there. The desert sand is almost beachy, but definitely wear shoes when you’re walking around due to broken glass and rusty nails blown from the old cabin. Having a fire ring and an old makeshift table onsite was pretty convenient. Luckily we didn’t have any run-ins with any scary desert wildlife, but flies were kind of intense, so make sure to bring some bug spray.
As far as being in the the middle of nowhere, you’re only about 20min from the town of Twentynine Palms if you need gas or groceries. Joshua Tree is super close too if you want to go for a hike. We actually made a day trip down to Palm Springs, an easy 1.5 hr drive.
Thanks for letting us stay, Vik! We enjoyed the desert vibes!
