Site 4 of The Meadow Grove
Site #4 offers the most privacy out of all our camp sites. It is on the 'uphill' side of the historic railroad bed, making it separate from the rest of the campsites. It is also out of sight from the road, making it more quiet and private.
To get to #4, once you pull in the entrance gate to the campground, you will drive towards where the outhouse is- and to the right

To get to #4, once you pull in the entrance gate to the campground, you will drive towards where the outhouse is- and to the right of it is a short dirt driveway that goes up and over the railroad bed. There is a large eucalyptus tree with an arrow directing you which way to go. This same tree has a HEIGHT LIMITING giant branch going over the road. Most vehicles fit under it, and a short Airstream trailer has been pulled under it. Some of the taller camper vans may not fit under this Branch. (the Sprinter types with anything on the roof might be cutting it very close).
**When you book this site, Hipcamp will tell you that you booked site#1 of "Site 4 of The Meadow Grove". (As it is, this site and site #5, are their own listings due to Hipcamps' data management, so they then also number them the first sites of those listings. It has proven confusing) Rest assured, you have booked Site 4 of The Meadow Grove.
We hope you enjoy your stay!

Great stop over spot on your way so
Site was great, trees give shade, grass area to kick a soccer ball around and a nice walk to the top of the hill. A great stop over spot on your way somewhere.
The farm was perfect, quiet and tranquil! Loved the location on the way to the coast with plenty of creameries near by. Anna was very nice and the eggs we purchased were wonderful.

Anna's land was idyllic. We were having our wedding reception and there was plenty of space for our large group tucked away behind an embankment and a beautiful grove of trees. The place was spotless, not a trace of trash around the land and the bathroom was the best compostable toilet we've ever used. She uses wood shavings instead of soil so it smelled very fresh and she came to change it the second day we were there. Our site had some really lovely willow trees that were leaning close to thee ground, making great spots for sitting, hanging a hammock, and camping underneath. The birdsong was beautiful and the kids in the group loved the old tractor on the property. There's a nice little coffee shop, post office, and general store just a few minutes up the road. We would definitely return!
Camped at Site 4 for one night. Was very central to our exploration of this amazing area. Just down the road from the lovely town of Tomales. It’s a working farm, so expect cow paddies. Site 4 was further from Hwy 1 than the others, which seemed to be in a field right next to the highway. But it’s not too busy and they’re still very picturesque!
Such a great spot! I stayed at Site #4 and tent camped. It was private and beautiful (the other spots are closer together but this one is more removed), and we had a front row seat to cattle grazing on the ranch, and amazing stargazing at night. Easy to find and access in a small car. Will definitely be back!

Excellent stay! Plenty of space. Site #4 is the most private. Thank you for hosting us!
This is our second time at site #4 and it is still as wonderful as before. This time the hills and surrounding were all lush and green. This particular site is so private and the ever present cattle and occasional pot belly pigs make it all the more special. We brought 3 new comers to the site and they were all equally impressed with its beauty and seclusion. We will definitely return.

This is a great location. Multiple sites are pretty spread out. The bathroom is kept very clean. A short drive gets you to Dillon beach and a slightly longer one takes you to Tomales Bay. If you like cats, a very friendly one visits the campground—he was my favorite part of camping here. And then there are the birds. So many birds. A very peaceful site.

This site was by far the most private of her sites, and we loved having the upper field to ourselves! The birdsong and occasional cow viewing were delightful. The outhouse was very clean, and even had daffodils fresh cut for us. Only notice I would say is that the hill up to it is quite steep with a low hanging branch towards the top. If you have a big rig, or not very good SUV it might be difficult, especially if wet. Our suv with teardrop did just fine though when it was dry. Would stay again
