I have a 12 x 10 ft glampy tent in a redwood forest, with an air mattress inside, sheets, comforter, a light and a rack for clothes.  The tent is located in my meadow, which is also where the garden is located.

PARKING: Please park on the wood chips to the left, when you turn into the driveway. If you try to park to the right, you will drive over the main water line.

PARKING: Please park on the wood chips to the left, when you turn into the driveway. If you try to park to the right, you will drive over the main water line.

PORTA POTTY: The porta potty is located in front of my house, and is changed every Thursday. To get there, follow the trail behind the greenhouse; walk past the outdoor shower and to the left of my blue house.

SHOWER: The outdoor shower is located half way between the tent and my house. To turn the shower on, look for the red knob below the silver colored gas heater. Please make sure you've fully shut off the red knob when done. If it's not fully shut, it will leak water.  I love my shower! It gets steamy, I have candles and crystals out, I love it. But please don't mess with it in any way. It works well but is tempermental to people adjusting the shower head, which can cause it to break.

HEAT: There is a heater in there which is great and normally warms it up pretty quick. There is also a wood stove in there, but I do not recommend using it as it will smoke out the tent if you're not careful.

GARDEN LIGHT: There are lights going around the perimeter of the garden, and a little greenhouse there, which you are welcome to hang out in. To turn on the garden lights, plug in the brown cord at the electrical box.

TRASH: There's a trash bin by your tent. With Covid, there's no recycling at the dump, so you can put everything in there. But please dump food scraps that might attract animals in the forest or off the property.

FIRES: There's a fire pit, and tons of kindling in the forest, but please keep fires small. Please do not use the wood in the wood shed for fires. This is wood I have cut, bought and gathered to keep my house warm. There is a fire extinguisher in the greenhouse for emergencies.

EXTRAS: If I'm around, I can show you the trails on the property. Extra blankets and towel rental available for a small fee.

Such an adorable and beautiful place to stay! Great for when you kind of want to camp but also want a comfy bed and shower (a really cool outdoor shower). Surrounded by trees and ferns, it was perfect. Close to lots of state parks as well.
Kimberly checked in to make sure all was well when I arrived. The tent was clean, had a heater, a place to hang my clothes, table and chairs, and little portable stove (which I didn’t use because I brought one).

The forest fairy tent was exactly how it’s described — a magical stay in the redwoods and a perfect jumping off point for exploring the cute town of Trinidad and the wonders of the surrounding area. Kimberley was a great host, and even went so far as to ask if we needed anything and brought us extra pillows. The outdoor shower is such a cool experience and the water heats up in no time. We stayed during a very cold and rainy weekend but felt so cozy in our heated tent. Overall, I’d highly recommend!

Kimberly’s tent was so cute and was set up with nice glamping amenities (cozy bed, heater, rack for our clothes) that made the whole experience pretty easy. The outdoor shower takes a bit of time to figure out but is a very unique experience. The location is prime for getting to the redwoods National and state parks. Only caveat is the porta potty is now located pretty far from the tent, so plan ahead if you’re the type who needs to go in the night. Also if visiting during rainy season, might be helpful to have rain boots for walking around the property.

Sweet spot so close to Trinidad! It was nice to have the camping experience(campfire under the stars) with the comfort of an enclosed space with light and heat.Very private, yet our hostess Kimberly was instantly responsive when we needed something. Once in a lifetime shower! I look forward to staying again.

A perfect spot to stay when visiting the Redwoods. The tent setup was clean and cozy - the heater was so nice to have! Location is fantastic - minutes away from restaurants and a small, local grocery store. Would definitely stay here again.
