I have a 12 x 10 ft glampy tent in a redwood forest, with an air mattress inside, sheets, comforter, a heater,!light and a rack for clothes.  The tent is located in my meadow, which is also where the garden is located.

PARKING: Please park on the wood chips to the left, when you turn into the driveway. Do not drive past the wood branch semi circle.

PORTA POTTY: The porta potty is located in front of my house, and is changed every Thursday. To get there, follow the trail behind the greenhouse; walk past the outdoor shower and to the left of the blue house.

SHOWER: The outdoor shower is located half way between the tent and my house. To turn the shower on, look for the red knob below the silver colored gas heater. Please make sure you've fully shut off the red knob when done. If it's not fully shut, it will leak water.  I love my shower! It gets steamy, I have candles and crystals out, I love it. But please don't mess with it in any way. It works well but is tempermental to people adjusting the shower head, which can cause it to break.

HEAT: There is a heater in there which is great and normally warms it up pretty quick. But if you’re cold and need extra blankets, please let me know.

GARDEN LIGHT: There are lights going around the perimeter of the garden, and a little greenhouse there, which you are welcome to hang out in. To turn on the garden lights, plug in the brown cord at the electrical box.

TRASH: There's a trash bin by your tent. With Covid, there's no recycling at the dump, so you can put everything in there. But please dump food scraps that might attract animals in the forest or off the property.

FIRES: There's a fire pit, and tons of kindling in the forest, but please keep fires small. Please do not use the wood in the wood shed for fires. This is wood I have cut, bought and gathered to keep my house warm. There is a fire extinguisher in the greenhouse for emergencies.

DOGS: Please do not book this site if you plan on bringing a large dog and not taking care of it. If you bring a dog, I would like them to be leashed at all times, not left barking unattended, and their poop picked up

Kimberly’s tent was great - really spacious and in a great location. The outdoor shower amongst the redwoods was a nice touch! Overall a really different and enjoyable experience.

The site was quiet & as advertised. I didn’t get the chance to use the shower but it looked lovely. The firepit was great, and the tent/setup was well-done. The heater did not heat the tent enough, though, and there weren’t a lot blankets so it was quite a cold night for me. The air mattress stayed super cold as well. Granted, it was early April, but I assumed it would be at least comfortably warm, and didn’t have my camping gear along for the trip as a result. I left after the 1st nite for an airbnb to keep me warm & cozy the 2nd nite!

We had such a lovely time staying at Kimberly's property! The location is beautiful and peaceful, and super convenient to Trinidad, which we also loved. I was a big fan of the nice and toasty outdoor shower!

Those looking for absolute silence should know there was a small amount of road noise, but hardly noticeable at all, and it was a little closer to a neighboring house than I expected from the photos, but overall it was quite private and quiet and made for a perfect home base for exploring Humboldt County. One thing to note: while we very much appreciated the provided air mattress and pillows, the pillows were pretty thin and the surface of the air mattress got cold at night. So if those are things you're sensitive to, you might want to bring your own pillows and bring extra blankets to layer under you. But otherwise, the tent was very comfy, cozy, and convenient!

We stayed at Kimberly’s glampy tent for a rainy two days and it was a godsend. The canvas tent made for a warm, peaceful night of sleep on a comfortable, firmness-adjustable air mattress. The tent is equipped with a space heater, electric stove, table and chairs, clothing rack, linens, and extension cord. Coming from a night of tent camping, this was a welcome reprieve. The site also has a luxurious outdoor shower that, as the description mentions, DOES get steamy. We took advantage of this one morning and loved this immersive natural experience. The porta potty is clean and easily accessible. The land is marked by lush ferns and redwoods that make for a contemplative stay. This was a highlight of our time in northern California, Kimberly was communicative and welcoming, we would recommend this stay to all.

The tent was clean and far enough away from the house that I felt as if I had the place to myself. Loved having redwoods right out back.

We didn’t use the tent as we were in a van but the site was nice, it isn’t super secluded and it’s forest so the area was pretty wet but it was quiet and dark. There is the 101 fairy close but considering the noise wasn’t the bad. The shower was charming and the porta potty clean. Kimberly was really nice. The town is great, we enjoyed the local pizza and the market was really great. Head down to the state beach, within a mile probably, definitely worth checking out.

Kimberly is great and so accommodating! The tent is cozy and provides the essentials. The property is in such a perfect location for hiking and exploring, and has a very pleasant energy to it. The shower was my favorite, filled with candles and palo santo, such a lovely experience.
I would definitely stay here again.
