Welcome to the latest addition to our retreat center, the Tiny House!

We just made the loft an extra sleeping area which can accommodate one adult or two small kids, added a bar set (two stools and a table),  a propane BBQ grill by the picnic table for the Tiny House!

The Tiny House allows only one vehicle. The vehicle traffic damages the road and it is very expensive to do road works. Also increased traffic causes disturbances to the residents and neighborhood so we have to strictly limit the number of vehicles. In case you need one more car contact host for approval with extra charge. No loud music allowed any time. Quiet time 9p - 9a. Our onsite staff will go around and enforce the rules.

We just paved most of the road going down to the campground!

The Tiny House is cozy 100sf (10x10), insulated and an indoor propane heater provided, at the prime location right at the center of the campground, steps away from the bathrooms and kitchen cottage, yet privately tucked under the redwood tree and overlooking the beautiful outdoor amphitheater.  There is a queen size bed and mattress with a water proof cover, a nightstand, and a chair. There is also a propane BBQ grill and an outdoor picnic table in the back.

Due to the current COVID situation, we will not provide linens for the bed, please bring your own sheets, blankets and pillows.

Guests use shared bathroom in the campground. There is sink with hot water in the utility shed.

SPECIAL COVID RULES AND TICK SEASON WARNING:

1) ONE HOUSEHOLD ONLY PLEASE - Due to the current covid restrictions, it's been necessary to restrict use further to maintain compliance and safety to stay open. Please only stay in our hut with members of your existing household "bubble".

2) NO FIRES - yes, even if there's rain or it's cold. The nearby recent fires have left everyone very sensitive to fire risk so no, we're sorry but fires will still not be allowed under any conditions. Your propane or coleman style camp stoves are welcome for cooking, etc. Please bring nothing that requires coals/wood, etc.

3) TICK SEASON WARNING: The Santa Cruz mountains are tick territory and depending on the time of year ticks are easy to pick up so doing a tick check at the end of the day is highly recommended.  If this is a concern, please use tick repellent and look to the county HSA for more information.

Welcome to the Enchanted Forest Retreat!

We are a meditation retreat center with 45 acres of some of the most gorgeous redwoods in the Santa Cruz mountains to enjoy hiking, creeks and small water fall exploration, mountain biking, wildlife viewing, star gazing, relaxation, meditation and more.

Our campground has running water from a natural spring, Men and Women's Restrooms each with 2 toilets and 1 hot water shower and plugs for charging phones, laundry shed with sink and hot water, one BBQ grill by the fence up above the creek, and an outdoor amphitheater. We have meditation teaching at the amphitheater and campers are welcomed to attend for free.

25 minutes to Silicon Valley - 25 minutes to Santa Cruz Boardwalk we're centrally located in the south bay. Dogs and kids are welcome - dogs must be picked up after and kept on a leash if other campers are present.

Please note: This is camping - there may be bugs, critters, dirt, unpredictable weather (pack for the cold, just in case - we get surprise fog often!), early sunrise, no cell data, etc etc. It's not the Hilton - but it is gorgeous. ;)

Shopping such as Safeway, Costco and the big box stores are 20 minutes away in Soquel; however, we have a charming little market (Summit Center) 3.5 miles away that has a great selection of groceries, drinks and hot foods, etc.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we'll help however we can!

NOTICE REGARDING RVs and TRAILERS: While we can not offer hookups, theoretically we have no problem with RVs - the reason we state we don't allow them is that the road is dirt and steep in a couple of places getting down to the campground and VERY narrow in one spot (10ft). Our concern is that your RV and/or trailer will not make it down without damage and/or not make it back up at all! If you feel you're willing to take this risk (we won't be held liable), you're welcome to reach out to us and we can see what is possible.

This is a tiny cabin right at the edge of an enchanted forest. The cabin was clean and everything was functional. In this case that means the ceiling light and the propane heater. It’s close to the kitchen and the bathrooms, and it’s also close to another campsite, though facing away from it. For me the best part was the little table nestled between 3 mature redwood trees - cooking tea and writing there was magical.

Cute basic cabin nestled in the redwoods. Heater works well. Loved my little picnic table area as well. Easy instructions to find and access the site.

This place is majestic—Good people, good service, & beautiful presence from the redwood tree’s. Many trails to wander on while you listen to the songs of the creek.
Enjoy!

The area was beautiful, very deep in the woods. Ideal if that’s what you are looking for. For us it was almost eerily off the grid. VERY quiet and no one around. There was no mention how steep and difficult the driveway was to get down to the house. Only note was relating to mud in the rain. A normal car was very iffy going down the hill to get there. The directions to the place were a little unclear, but we did find it. The tiny house itself was as described. Very plain. It did not seem properly cleaned prior to our arrival. The doors did not lock so we felt very unsecure during the night. We did not use any of the communal areas other than the bathrooms which were what you would expect at a public park or something. Not very clean. Other areas including the camping spots seemed junky with random stuff laying around. Overall I’m not sure how this was considered a meditation retreat. Seemed very run down, not taken care of, and lacked the small details that could make it a much better experience. Just a bit disappointed in it overall.

Yes, the road condition is bad, in fact we are going to close down the campground in Apr and do road repairs, and some other works. The door locks, both from inside and outside, different locks though and not the common type of lock. May change to some more common lock.

This property was absolutely magical! The tiny camp was even better than the pictures, and it was such a treat to have heat and a light in the room, and be so close to the bathrooms (with hot water!).

We loved the property so much and can't wait to come back with our family.

Only a few minutes off of Highway 17 sits this beautiful gem of a camp ground! There are an assortment of farm stands on the road in to pick up fresh fruit, vegetables, eggs, milk, and juice. Once you set foot on this land all else can wait. The winding drive down the hill into the campground enters into an opening between the tall trees. There are enough facilities here to make weekend stays worth it, with hot and cold water, showers, and even a stage for fun get together with other fellow campers. Waking up to the sound of the redwood forest, taking a walk down to the creek, watch the deer peacefully grazing out on the field. My fiancé and I even spent a few moments of silence between the great tree family near the bottom of the grounds. It’s a peaceful place where it seems a few generations of trees have grown together. Really an enjoyable experience.
