Bear Creek Lodge is above and beyond a “glamping” experience—more of what you would expect of an Airbnb or Vrbo. Jill’s place is a gem in the woods, perfect for a family gathering or quiet friend’s getaway weekend. We enjoyed grilling on the BBQ, star gazing and listening to nature sounds (so quiet!), ping pong in the basement and the indoor/outdoor feel of the space from the screened in deck. Jill was quick to respond and gave us a tour of the house at check in.
Details: The last mile of the road and the driveway are gravel, but are well maintained and our low clearance sports car made it no problem! WiFi is spotty (but who needs WiFi when you’re in such a beautiful place!). The house has 3 levels, not connected (get upstairs by external staircase and downstairs by a path). The main level has a screened in deck, kitchen, living room and master with full bathroom. The lower level has 2 beds (not in individual rooms), ping pong, laundry, full bath, kitchenette and outdoor seating area. The upper level has 2 beds and two pull out couches, kitchenette and one “RV style” restroom. (Description as of April 2021)
I have booked this place, host sends me a text an hour later that someone beat my reservation on 02/11/20. I was reserving the site for 13 to 15.
Even after not getting the site the payment was submitted, money was deducted from my account and not returned until I did call Hipcamp, not even they were able to contact the host, money was returned to the account. until 02/21/20. The host needs to be more responsible.
The bear Creek lodge was a fantastic experience for our group of 5. Jill is a very gracious host and the home was perfect for us. The kitchen is incredibly well equipped and we loved cooking feasts on the BBQ every night. We spent a entire day hanging out in our hammocks in the nearby meadow and hiking to the top of a nearby peak. We also recommend driving to Jenkinson Lake and hiking/swimming there for the day, it's beautiful. We definitely hope to return to the lodge in the future!

Tory and his 4 guests were delightful to host at Bear Creek Lodge. They were respectful of the property & followed all Lodge guidelines. I would welcome Tory & his guests back again for a visit at the Lodge & recommend them to others who would host them on their adventures. It was great that Tory & friends left me delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies and some gourmet coffee as a thoughtful thank you. How great is that?
