Pitch your tent in the redwood grove! Surrounded by State Park, we have numerous hiking trails and swimming in the Eel River. The garden is situated on the north end of The Avenue of The Giants in Pepperwood, CA. We offer one very private space. It is a walk to the bathroom and main road. The campsite is primitive so be prepared to bring your water, wood, and heavy tarp for the prickly ground. One BIG thing our campsite has going for it, is you are the only one there! Well, besides the bear, the elk, the deer, and an occasional howling coyote and hooting owl. These guys like to play at night while you will be asleep. We don't see them during the day.
We don't have a walk to the river this year. I guess we didn't get high enough water this winter to clean out the tall dune plants that grow on the river bar. We have tried to clear a path to no avail.
We are a farm business so don't be surprised to hear tractors and voices of our family working on the farm.
Be prepared for an adventure!
We also give produce, when it is in season, to you at the end or beginning of your stay!
NOTE:
Also, if you want to camp, but don't have camping gear or want something special. My friend can set up a "glampsite" for a fee! Check her sites out at Wayward Glamping. Her name is Emily and she does a great job!

Ginger’s place is amazing! So beautiful and peaceful and right on the Avenue of the Giants. We loved her fresh fruit and vegetables and how quiet it was there. Would love to stay there again!!
Didn't meet standards for our stay.
We stayed at 6 HipCamps during an August road trip. This was the only one not up to the standard. I'll chalk it up to the host having a bad day. The site in the redwoods was beautiful and the port-a-john was clean. However we had poor communication from the host for our arrival and we found that trash was overflowing in the building with check in instructions, the toilet and sink, and trash was strewn outside that building. This was the arrival area where we were instructed to stop; first impressions matter! Clearly the self certified COVID safety standards were not implemented between the last campers and our arrival. It seems the campers before us were disrespectful with their trash and should have gotten a big thumbs down. We spoke to Ginger (host) as we were leaving and informed her of the issues.
This place was amazing! Very secluded in the forest on a beautiful farm, such nice people! Would definitely recommend!!
Incredible location and great host. Our kids had a blast and we can’t wait to go back! The veggie box upon arrival was an added bonus.

The setting is beautiful: a private campsite with a picnic table, ample shade, and multiple fire spots nestled between redwoods. There are convenient amenities in walking distance: bathroom, fridge, etc.
But the people are even more amazing! Upon arrival, Ginger gave us fresh produce and flowers, along with an info sheet. Everyone we talked to on the farm was friendly, genuine, and helpful (and the resident farmdog Kaya was very cute and friendly). On our last night, our car battery died and the hosts went above and beyond to help us out.
I couldn’t recommend the Corn Crib enough!

Thanks Andrew! It was nice meeting you both. We should have only one fire spot though! Take care!
My 2nd stay and it did not disappoint. It's just an amazing space that is private and secluded. It's all you can ask for if you want to get away from the crowds. Excellent throughout.

thanks Allison!
The Corn Crib is a charming venue! Ginger and her family were extremely welcoming and hospitable.

We are happy to hear you liked our farm! Thank you!
Private, clean, plenty of spots to put your tent and hammocks.
We ended up only being able to use half of the time we reserved but are hoping to come back and really explore.

Hello! Such a bummer! I did refund one night. Thanks for the review! Ginger
What a perfect location to Humboldt Redwoods right off the Avenue of the Giants! Ginger gifted us upon arrival with fresh veg and fruit from her family farm. The camping spot is tucked behind the farm and is wonderfully secluded in the woods.

Thanks Bonnie! Just so everyone knows, those avocados were not grown here! Ha! I wish! Thanks again!
