Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
Feel the sand beneath your feet at this private campsite with a large fire pit, paved road access and the Salton Sea shoreline in walking distance! This property is at the north end of Salton City and has unique trails to explore with views of the mountains to the west and water to the east. Walk to the north end of Camino Dr to find the new Vegetation Enhancement program using hay bales to control dust and hold moisture for new plant life. Or pull up a lounge chair and watch powered paragliders flying along the shoreline of the Salton Sea.Currently the driveway onto the property can only be accessed with an all-wheel drive Sprinter van-type vehicle or SUV with moderate clearance. Cars should park on the street. We have planted a few desert plants and succulents so feel free to water any vegetation on the property including the palm trees. Campfires are allowed! There are no toilets or water so campers will need to bring their own accommodations. RVs, trailers and sprinter vans work great for this site but tent camping is fine. Pack in and pack out policy applies. Relax under the stars and book this hipcamp today. You will be given the address, GPS coordinates and markers to the property upon booking. Things to do and amenities nearby: -Hiking, biking and designated off-roading areas are located directly from the property! -This is a popular area to see power paragliders cruising along the shoreline of the Salton Sea. -Chevron, Coffee Bean, KFC, Taco Bell, Cinnabon, Dollar Tree, Alamo restaurant, West Shores Market and all the supplies you need are 6 miles away. -Get dinner and have some night life fun at Red Earth Casino 5 miles away.
