Rock and Tree, located in Perris, California, We are an open canvas event space.

Our motto is "Rock & Tree is meant to be explored not explained." But I have to explain a little bit, but once you stay with us, go explore! We are an ideal venue/campground for people seeking a quaint outdoor setting for their special day. We have 8 campsites available up to 8 people per site. This sprawling 36-acre venue offers our guests gorgeous wildlife surroundings and is loaded with a plethora of beautiful outdoor shelters for guests to enjoy. During your stay, you are invited to camp in one of our 8 campsites. We have many different campsites to choose from, some more catered to fit campers and RVs, (no hookups) one with a hidden hang out spot, some closer to the venue and others far away. *** Although we are on 36 acres, On some weekend evenings, our neighbors play music into the late evening, we've been told ear plugs are helpful :)

My husband Anson Krekeler is a folk and blues musician and has travelled all around the U.S. playing his music and I was an aspiring Voice-Over actress. One day, we decided that we wanted to live the rest of our lives hosting live music, wedding and campers and that's how Rock & Tree began. As the idea grew, we wanted to create an Open Canvas so that the guest could dream up what they wanted on our stage. We moved to the Inland Empire from Santa Monica, in 2017 with the dream of building an open canvas event space out of sustainable, repurposed and natural materials. Our mission is help enrich the culture of Perris, CA by providing a unique venue that takes you away from the hustle and bustle and takes you to a wonderland of nature surrounded by rocks and eucalyptus trees.

A true passion project, Anson and I have built and continue to build everything ourselves, well..Anson does most of the heavy lifiting. Our process is that we source as much lumber using the dead Eucalyptus trees we have here on the 36 acre property and we are constantly trying to come up with innovative ways to use recycled and donated materials in the venue. We now live on the property in a 24ft camper and we feel so lucky that our dream is slowly becoming a reality.

During the beginning of Covid, we transitioned into primarily a campground adding more campsites outside the venue, spaced apart from each other to allow for social distancing. The venue is the shared space and the 8 campsites surround it. When you camp, we will make sure to give you your privacy and you will have access to the whole venue. We also like hanging out and getting to know the campers so if you want have a drink with us, just shoot us a text. We have fun outdoor games like the giant slingshot, basketball hoop, corn hole, and giant jenga. At night you will be surrounded by solar lights, imagine you are in a fairy wonderland! I have a love for coffee, when you stay here, we provide coffee, tea ,hot chocolate and morning snacks for all campers! We are an all outdoor venue, so please bring plenty of warm blankets and layers and during the day, plenty of water and sunscreen. We have a communal BBQ and propane firepit on site, first come first serve, an additional $8 to cover the propane.

Upon arrival, Please message me when you are about 10 minutes away. I will meet you at the outside gate and teach you how to open and close it so that you can come and go as you please. Check in is between 1:30pm and 5pm, this gives our campers time to check out and us to clean in between arrivals. We prefer you checking in while it is still light outside. If you need to make any earlier or later arrangements please reach out to coordinate. Please be courteous of your fellow campers.

A couple of "house rules" :

The gate needs to stay closed.  I work from home so if you need anything just let me know.

We ask that all amplified music is turned down by 10:30pm. We will leave the solar lights on over night so it won't be pitch black. Music at your tent is totally fine and if you bring an instrument and feel like jamming, my husband and I both play guitar :)

COVID-19:  Be respectful of your fellow campers. We have sinks, cleaning material and hand sanitizer available. . After Porta Potty use, please wipe down and remember to wash your hands for 20 seconds. We are doing everything on our part to keep the venue clean and safe for all guests. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Mask optional, for those not vaccined required.

Suggestions on things to bring:

Cooler with ice and plenty of water to keep hydrated.

Glass bottles so you can recycle and paint them when you are here :)

Rock & Tree was the perfect venue for our event! We had a group of 25 friends throwing a mini, DIY music festival. Taryn and Anson were an absolute dream as hosts -- they really helped us realize the event we'd imagined and gave us great recommendations for outside vendors. They were super communicative and wonderful to work with, completely positive and supportive before and during the event. Everyone in our group raved about the venue itself -- we had way more than enough space (the venue could fit a lot of people for large events if needed). We're so happy we chose Rock & Tree and look forward to coming back again!
