This 76-acre property at 2300 feet in the Sierras is on the transition land between Oak Trees and Pine. It was originally part of a mining claim and in 1937, the Rock House was built to support travelers on the new highway between Reno and Chico/Oroville. Just 20 minutes from town, this is the ideal spot to hang out, listen to live music, have excellent coffee, wine or other indulgence, breathe fresh air and enjoy nature. Re-opening in the burn scar of the Camp Fire. The cafe' is not re-opened at this time.

We had a great time! The site was big, well kept, and quiet, with access to a beautiful fire pit, very clean bathroom and wonderful stargazing. There are also gorgeous spots to hike and swim nearby and great coffee at the cafe. We would definitely come back.

Bring your RV, full hookups Hipcamp
great location to explore the area
The people that run the cafe/site are very nice. The cafe is actually much better equipped than expected. The guy even walked us (and our truck) to our site which was nice. The bathrooms are good for a campground and have a shower which is a great addition. The people living long term in the site (which are very close to you like any campground) are a bit sketchy. My wife did not feel comfortable. They didn’t stay up late and party, so I didn’t mind them so much. They had a band on Saturday night at the cafe, which was a fun experience where we met a couple nice locals. I’d camp here, but I’d cross my fingers that the long term people had moved on.

Beautiful views, clean restrooms.
The drive up was nice here and the sites have pretty views. The bathrooms are clean and new. There was plenty of firewood at the fire area for use. This was our second stay here. There are improvements from last year and there seems to be continued work done on the sights.
