We had a great stay at Robinson Mine Basecamp. Friendly hosts greeted us upon arrival and showed us around. We had to leave a little early the next morning and missed the coffee, unfortunately. Bathroom was super clean and the grounds are beautiful. Thanks for everything we will be back.
Camping near yosemite!
Relaxing and peaceful are but two adjectives that could describe our stay at Robinson Mine Basecamp. Our warm, welcoming hosts, Tom and Debbie, as well as their kind son, Aaron, made my husband and I feel right at home upon our arrival. Tom and Debbie gave us a tour of
the property, and highlighted all the accessible facilities and amenities available to us. Then, they kindly ensured we had everything we needed to be comfortable during our visit. Tom, Debbie, and Aaron are wonderful people and excellent Hipcamp hosts; generous, enthusiastic,
and knowledgeable, they were a wellspring of local, historical, and geological insight. If you’re interested in knowing about gold mining history and mineralogy, Tom’s your guy! My husband and I loved learning about the history of Robinson Mine Basecamp as a profitable, working mine(and seeing the preserved relics of that history on the property). During our stay at Robinson Mine Basecamp, my husband and I tented in a lovely, private site surrounded by trees and birdsong. Multiple seating areas were set-up to relax and enjoy nature; deer and quail ambled leisurely throughout the property. A simple, spotlessly clean, outdoor toilet facility was in convenient proximity to the campsite. And, large, communal water coolers were thoughtfully provided by the hosts. A table at the campsite proved useful for preparing our meals, and solar lighting set up throughout the property lent to a lovely, relaxed, evening ambiance.
