Tiny house with loft nestled among the oaks out in our pasture, plus two adjacent bunkhouses each sleeping four people. You can book a couple only or up to 10 people using Secluded and both bunkhouses. The Secluded Cabin is ideal for two adults. It has a sleeping loft and, if you can't climb the ladder, a sleeper/sofa downstairs.

Barbecue on the shade sail-covered deck. Great outdoor hot water shower. Dry composting toilet. This space is insanely gorgeous. During hot weather, the A/C can only be run until early evening as this is an off-the-grid battery solar cabin. Claw foot tub for cold water soaks! The bunkhouses use a portapotty nearby and they have their own cold water shower. They are designed for comfortable sleeping, but there are no cooking facilities inside and no electricity. Use the Secluded Cabin for that. Bring a headlamp or flashlight!

Hike right from here on 722 acres! EVERYONE welcome. Swimming and fishing is seasonal.. Twenty miles to the big trees in the Giant Sequoia National Monument. Two miles from Springville, a quaint, rural town. An hour to Sequoia National Park entrance at Three Rivers. ATT service ONLY. Have Directions available before leaving Porterville area.

The cabin was great! There’s so much space, and even a mountain on the property to hike up. Would definitely stay again. There’s wifi in the cabin, and you can use a/c until the late afternoon. Gary was very responsive! It also looks they’re building two smaller cabins next to it.

It was a real pleasure being able to stay in this delightful little home. We went in mid July which was hot! But if you are just using this place to come back to in the evening after a nice day at the park, this is the place to be. Beautiful sunsets and lovely little mooing sounds in the morning 🐮. The fact that this place even has a kitchen, shower, and bathroom makes it all that much more comfortable. The deck is a wonderful place to hang out at night and star watch. The star coverage was surreal the nights we were there. Like another Hipcamper said I almost don’t want to review this place because I wanted it to be my own little secret haha! Lastly, Gary was a remarkable host as well, being highly responsive about any questions we had about our booking.
I hope this cabin can be enjoyed for many years to come in the hip camp community, it’s and absolute treasure.

Usually not one to write reviews, but this did throw me a bit. The cabin is cute and cozy, but i would by no means describe it as secluded. I offered to rent both campsites from Gary and he insisted that they were very far apart so I had no reason to worry about loud neighbors. Fast forward to arrival to find the cabin fully on display to a group of campers in the same pasture less than 100 yards away. We could easily hear their conversations. The noise of the busy road the ranch sits on was also fairly constant. Overall, cute place and easy access to the forest, but maybe I had my expectations too high.

We stayed in the cabin for 2 days (out of 3). The place has a great terrace where we spent the whole day watching turkey running in the field. We stayed here to visit Sequoia National Park: it is one hour drive to the entrance and another hour to get all the way up to the trees.

The thing we didn't expect were the workers on site. We came at 4PM on Friday and it was clear the workers didn't expect to see us. They've been busy building new cabins on the site. We spent two hours listening to the construction noise before they left. They said they'll come Monday morning to continue. Since there is no service, we couldn't contact the host to quickly ask what is going on. We have left Sunday evening due to the rain.

We had a wonderful time at the Ranch! We originally were suppose to stay at the scheduled cabin but due to construction we weren’t able to stay there so we got offered the ranch right in the same area and we had access to the great kitchen and all the things in it which was super along with the outdoor shower and bathroom! We were the only ones on the ranch and we enjoyed it to the fullest we walked the peaceful property every day and our son was able to explore and run freely. Gary was a wonderful host and very accommodating we will definitely come back again. Highly recommend staying here and it’s a very cool beautiful view no matter where you look!
