The hosts were kind and the space was big and private. The area could’ve used some weed whacking but it wasn’t intrusive of the main area.
Overall a great space with kind and attentive hosts.

The area of the site is in a very nice neighborhood, with beautiful wildlife (we saw two gorgeous coyotes) however, the actual site needs improvement before we would considering going again. The plot was muddy and pitted when we arrived, granted SoCal doesn't normally get a lot of rain. She mentioned her husband had recently graded it, but that wasn't really apparent to us due to the rain. We are in a van, I would think it would have been more difficult for an actual RV. The host was pleasant and kind, but communication lacked from what we are used to with Hipcamp and other sites. She had said she would send check in instructions; however, they never arrived. Shortly after the allowed check-in time, I sent a message asking for them, but never got a response. We ended up driving up to her house, which is not the same driveway as the site and it made for kind of an awkward arrival. There is a sense that they are trying to make money before they are ready. She seemed a bit unsure of who we were on arrival. Two women were wandering the property in the morning trying to walk their dog from an app that they used for off leash dog walking. They couldn't get reception to contact her so were knocking on our window to get help as to where they could walk the dogs. The property needs signs, "Dog Walkers this way", "RV site this way" And the RV site (especially since this was not a cheapy site and has no hookups) needs to be upgraded to a more solid surface.

Lovely and secluded hilltop getaway
This spot is just darling! You follow the wooden steps to find a flat clearing in the middle of a lush cluster of eucalpytus, pepper, and oak trees, where there are also hammocks, a picnic table, a sofa, and... a gas fire pit! We warmed our hands by the fire and sat with our teas under the kind of glittery star canopy you only find in the country.
Kandi and her family have created a little paradise here. At some point you might be lucky enough to get a visit from an incredibly sweet and fluffy dog, or hear the roosters call out their "good morning"s for a short while. The picnic table is the perfect place to assemble pancake toppings as the sun comes up. There's a place to toss trash, as well as a toilet by the gravel parking lot.
They've really thought of everything-- don't miss this one!

Very beautiful spot. Nature was my music. The propane fireplace was key. No need to haul wood. If your looking for a quite night. This is your place.

Private Spot on Beautiful Land 💛🌱
Kandi’s tent spot is a gem! Beautiful, peaceful land tucked away with a great sunset spot to walk up to and the smell of eucalyptus in the air :) A few logistical notes: other reviews are right - you’ll get woken up by the roosters! And there are coyote sounds at night. Though if you’re used to camping, nature and animal sounds should be par for the course. Stairs will work your legs to use the bathroom and bring up/down camp gear but that walk up is what makes it such a private spot tucked away. Just be conscious of what time of night you’re arriving so as to get everything hiked up and ready before sunset to make it easier. And you may see airbnb guests around or sounds of kiddos. Again, if you’re used to spots like this, that all won’t be surprising. I didn’t use the propane firepit, but that’s a nice thing to have as well! Enjoy!

Liked the setting. Really appreciated that our rambunctious rescue dog could be off leash. He had a grand time. Kandi and Carson were very friendly and welcoming. Loved the Great Horned Owls at night
