What an amazing gem!
Where can I possibly start? There are so many amazing things to say about coming and staying here and we enjoyed every moment!
First of all, the owners were caring and passionate about making sure all our accommodations were met and I love that you can even buy organic farm raised chicken eggs!
The place in itself is like finding a tucked away gem, so absolutely gorgeous! We loved seeing all of the animals which included bunnies peacocks baby goats lambs chickens pigs cats and some super cool Ranch dogs!
So much beauty to explore and super cool the see all the spots they have available on this property to reserve! Definitely recommended!!
Idyllic story-book farm
This place is like the idyllic farms of children’s story books. Gorgeous, charming, and peaceful. We felt very lucky for the opportunity to experience this little hidden Eden. There are animals galore- and we were free to interact with them all as much as we wanted. The animals were extremely friendly. Dogs, cats, kittens, pigs, goats, sheep, turkeys, ducks, peacocks, rabbits, baby bunnies, chickens, pigeons. Just watching the silly antics of the animals as many roamed the property free provided endless entertainment. The animals and property seemed very well cared for and was remarkably tidy. The people hosts were incredibly kind and generous. Loomerland is clearly a labor of love for them, and every animal is a cherished pet. This place is great for families with animal-loving kids. There is a ninja course, slack line, and swings down by the hosts’ home. There is some hiking with expansive views. The property was too hilly for my kids to ride their bikes- I wouldn’t take bikes again- but a more serious mountain biker might like the hills. Camping is primitive- a clean outhouse and a garden hose for water. There were some nearby outlets we used to recharge our phones. We brought everything we needed- jugs of water, trash bag, extra toilet paper just in case the outhouse ran out. Host provided fire wood and a grill that we used over the fire pit. We kept our cooler & trash in the car when away from our site because the animals are very curious and want to get into everything. One of the cats tried to enter our car & tent at every opportunity- don’t leave your car doors open and make sure you don’t accidentally trap the cat in your car. It was all very amusing and we had a delightful two days in Loomerland!
Magical camping experience
This campsite was MAGICAL! If you're looking for a camping experience that is different than the rest, this place is for you! Thank you Sean (and family) for your incredible hospitality and accommodations. We enjoyed playing with all of the ranch animals including the newborn kittens and bunnies, pigs, goats, sheep, dogs, and more. The tent site and outhouse were clean and the chairs and firewood were provided. Incredible experience and absolutely will be staying at Loomerland Ranch again :)
Great hipcamp with fantastic hosts!
This was a great Hipcamp with very accommodating hosts. We were supposed to be in the upper area (Farm Tent Spot 1), but due to some higher than usual winds, Sean was kind enough to let us use one of the lower spots for our camp. There is potable water available onsite as well as immaculately clean outhouses. And there are even some swings, a slack line, and a small zip line set up on the property. Additionally, you can see a wide variety of animal life, from peacocks to pigs and a fair amount in between, on the farm. We were very happy with our stay overall. I would note that if you are going to camp here that you be very comfortable with dogs as there are five that roam the property protecting the livestock. They are all quite sweet, but if you aren’t comfortable around large dogs or with having to occasionally shush them away from your cooler, then this might not be the best camp for you. As the majority of our party grew up with large dogs, we didn’t mind whatsoever and enjoyed their daily visits.
