Place is okay, some sites does not have shade (tree). Mike is very helpful, he will make you comfortable in this place. The campsite has easy access to King Canyon - things to do. If u need to visit Seqouia, you need to travel around 50+ miles. The campsite has only one bathroom and it was okay first two days but it was dirty as hell on third day.

We found this camp for Labor Day weekend last minute after it was announced that all the National Forests were closed. Booking was super easy. The facilities and grounds were nice, and it wasn’t too crowded.
This camp is centrally located to so much in Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. We enjoyed this spot a lot.
The only downside to the spot that we had (group camp 3) was that there was no shade and it got hot early in the day. We didn’t spend much time during the day anyways since we were out and about exploring.. Looks like most of the other sites had some good shade.
I definitely will go back!

Great spot and super friendly staff! Kid and dog friendly and allows you to access lots of hiking, caves, Hume Lake and river spots! We will definitely return! There isn’t a ton of shade, so it gets pretty hot when the sun is out and temps are higher!
Booked last minute and so glad we did! The staff was friendly and very helpful and the location was amazing. We tented 4 nights with our young kids and would do it again in a heartbeat!
I do wish the add for the campsite would of mentioned the fact that it's inside of a National Park. It cost to get into the park, somthing I didn't realize. Untill i arrived.
