Cute and unique but bed small for 2
We had a great time. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. The bed is a double size, kinda small for two adults. The sauna isn’t working and should be removed from the amenities. It’s a very unique, cozy room. The hosts are very sweet and responsive.
The Hobbit Cobin was a great little escape! Even though it's a quick drive away from Petaluma, sitting in the little garden makes you feel like you're in a sanctuary. There are three separate structures for the bed, kitchen, and bathroom. Frances provides everything you need for your stay. Super cute and unique!
Wonderful cabin built by talented craftsman and artist. Warm and cozy on cold February nights.
Good location on edge of pleasant town of Petaluma. Plenty of bird life in the yard. Near Point Reyes and Bodega Bay for coastal walks.
Unique, artistic, fun getaway. If looking for something different this would be it. Has all the comforts and all the charm. Close to everything you can need such as food and hiking. Very relaxing. Will come back if we get another chance.
Hobbit Cobin is a very unique example of sustainable architecture, built by Miguel’s own hands. I also enjoyed the outdoor spaces and the wood fired cob sauna. The Cobin is in a convenient location for bike riding to town and out to rural areas. Nearby Helen Putnam Regional Park has lovely trails.

So cool. These little cob rooms. One sleeping room, one bathroom, one kitchen. The kitchen and bathroom are open air lots of places open to outside so it helps to think of it as camping. I s wouldn’t recommend it during cold weather. Otherwise people are so nice and friendly. The accommodations creative, inspiring and unforgettable.
Bring airtight containers for your food and your own utensils. Good gas burners on the stove.
Get ready for a treat!
Bruce and Frances were the most gracious hosts and the cabin, garden, and fireplace were so utterly charming and restful. We slept so soundly the first night, we woke late the next morning, happily scrapped our morning plans to go hiking and hung out eating late breakfast, listening to birdsong and reading books, not going out until the afternoon. At night, we enjoyed toasting marshmallows in the fireplace.
