Overall great campground area. A13 however is sloped quite a bit all the way to the water with the only real flat area being up near the parking area. Still good enough to hang out, you just may not be able to get a chair to sit flat in the shade near the lake.
Finnon Lake was a great experience. It’s a small, private campgrounds. It was clean and well-maintained. The camp host was friendly and went out of her way to make my stay (first time solo camping), pleasant. I felt very safe. My site was perfect, shaded and access to the lake was super convenient.
I love this place! beautiful
I love this place. So clean and friendly. Very nice restrooms. Lake is perfect for kayaking. We didn’t eat at Frank’s Diner this time. I missed it. Great food! Next time definitely. Thank you Finnon Lake!
On a big hill and not very flat.
Site was on a hill and under a pine tree that dropped huge pine cones. There was an adorable mole who was digging around the site. (Great because really felt like your in nature and downside there were holes everywhere). The grounds were rather quiet which was super nice. Definitely one of my favorite places
Peaceful lake. clean campsites
I’ve stayed at Finnon Reservoir twice now, and both times had a great experience. The camp hosts are very helpful and knowledgeable about the area, the sites are well maintained, and it’s just a beautiful area. So peaceful! There are a couple ways to get there; Mosquito road is very narrow and winding, however, Rock Creek road is also a winding road and on a very high cliffs edge. Both induce a bit of anxiety - but I felt much better on Mosquito road
