Excellent mountain top lake front camping site and clean flushable toilets. This time (Oct 23/24 2022) it was windy and cold weather loudly announced its upcoming arrival, however, we enjoyed. Reserved for end of April 2023 and end of May 2023! Franks’ diner is at the entrance of the camp sites on waterfront. Frank’s original cheese Burger and fries A+ to me and service is excellent too.
Difficult drive but so worth it!
We had a great time at Finnon Lake. So beautiful and peaceful. We have a 20-ft travel trailer and did not know the drive in was so treacherous (but doable) - be verrry careful! Be sure to read the host notes with your reservation confirmation - the driving directions are very important if you’re pulling a trailer. Everything was so clean, spacious, and easy. We will definitely be back. PS. Frank’s Diner was amazing - a must if you’re at Finnon Lake!
The campground actually rocks
I really enjoyed the campground itself! It was clean, had bathrooms, a beautiful view of the reservoir, and picnic tables. My stay was rocky because there was a couple close-by who wouldn’t stop loudly ~making love~ and then fighting/screaming at each other and then repeating the cycle over and over again from about 10:30-4am. I barely slept, which was a huge bummer considering this campground is PERFECT. Obviously not the fault of the host, but I did not feel well-rested AT ALL when the sun came up. :/
I love camping at Finnon Lake campground. Beautiful area. Lake is wonderful. Perfect for kayaks. Kids had a great time. Bathrooms are always kept clean. People are wonderful and Franks diner ohhh just loved it.
Loved Finnon Lake campground. Quiet and small, only about 15 campsites. We stayed in A-11. Its on the water. Tent areas are very shaded. Eating table was in the sun most the day though. The fire department flew in a helicopter to get some water that day. That was neat to see. Fun fishing and swimming. Will be back again.
Vintage trailer family fun
Beautiful, waterfront camping. We brought our vintage trailer here and had so much fun. The water was perfect, the eagles and bullfrogs were entertaining and the kids loved trying to fish. Franks diner wasn't open which was a bummer but we caught him on our way out. Already booked another trip and will definitely be back. Super close to our house and, oh, they have CLEAN BATHROOMS! Ha.
