Swallow Nest
We had a fantastic time camping! It was a beautiful setting and each site is fairly distant and private. I highly recommend staying here - there's a lot to see and do within driving distance but the ranch is just far enough out of the way to feel much more relaxed than staying in one of the towns. Guido was a very helpful and kind host too!

Gorgeous site, and very cute farm shop. Was convenient to get to and the sites were quite private and spacious!

Beautiful & Peaceful
We had a great long weekend camping-everything was as expected, the setting was beautiful and peaceful, and the beef we purchased for our burgers was delicious! Thank you!

Cozy weekend at the Goose site
I stayed at the Goose site on Guido & Emily's land, and I'm so happy I chose this site. It was at the very end of their line of Hipcamp sites, so it felt really private and had a ton of space for me to spread out. I was camping by myself, and the amount of space was probably overkill for just me. Getting there was a breeze. The site is really peaceful and just surrounded by green pastures. There are cows close by that walked by every now and then to say hello, and there were sheep across the way that you can definitely hear but it didn't bother me and I slept really soundly to the various wildlife noises. I don't think the listing mentioned there would be a picnic table, but my site had one when I got there so it may be new.

Stargazing and Cow cuties
It was so beautiful, peaceful and sweet. Waking up to the soft sounds of grazing cows across the Estero was so fun! We loved the feeling of being on the land this weekend. Although we were prepared to light a fire, we actually decided to skip it and stare at the stars - amazing stargazing! We will definitely be back. This is one of those well-kept secret spots that you only share with your very best friends.

No Frills Slice of Paradise!
Guido and Emily have created a unique camping experience in an often overlooked part of the California coast. While the camping experience offered here is pretty simple, what it lacks in amenities it more than makes up for in beauty and tranquility. An absolute GO for nature lovers or paddlers!
The Cons:
As mentioned, the amenities are pretty bare bones. You're looking at a fairly secluded patch of mowed out grassland with a picnic table, firepit and nearby composting toilet. The farm road out to the sites is well maintained but could challenge less capable vehicles if they picked the wrong line or if it had recently rained. If you're expecting glamping this probably isn't the best choice.
The Pros:
Bucolic AF! Rolling hills dotted with patches of trees and livestock along the banks of a tidal estuary. I googled "Bucolic" to make sure I was spelling it right and the images are pretty spot on to this location. Your neighbors are far enough away that you don't really notice their presence. The nearby Farm Stand has food, firewood and WiFi which is can be very useful depending on how long you've been out of service.
A paddlers destination to be sure! The trip out to the beach (~5.75 miles) can be challenging depending on your boat and the wind/tide. I wouldn't recommend this for novices, but if you're fairly confident on the water this is a truly magnificent trip. To be safe, give yourself about 4 hours to get out and back and remember this estuary is very tidal.
