A 35 acre land surrounded by hills, mountain views and an open sky. The sunsets and sunrises are spectacular year round.  Stars and open skies that you'd be hard pressed to find anywhere else in southern California.  Just 15 minutes from Temecula wineries, 40 minutes from the alpine, artsy town of Idyllwild in the San Jacinto Mountains, and just 15 minutes from the 215 in Menifee toward Hemet.  Best camping from early autumn to lush springtime where we have great wildflower blooms.

Cooperative managers Jim and Dawn host campers who want to enjoy nature, participate in permaculture gardening all while off-setting their travel footprint. Fees are used to plant trees and enrich the land.  The property is a restorative ecovillage (turning severely damaged land into an oasis of hope) where we invite you to participate in creative local solutions to our larger global problems. * Children 12 & under are free when accompanied by an adult. * Groups larger than 25 or groups with special privacy or noise requests need to make special arrangements with the hosts in advance. Thanks!

Another great trip to the ecoshire! Love seeing the property continue to evolve… lots of blood sweat and tears into this place! Very family friendly and if you have the chance to get the Cap’n Crunch French toast you’d better not pass it up.

Always a great stay at EcoShire! The spot was great for our group of 10. Love seeing all the festivities that take place here as well like delicious breakfast, egg hunt, drum circles.

This was our third trip to the Ecoshire, and we loved it. Jim and Dawn are the loveliest people, making everyone feel welcome. They have so much imagination, and their hard work is making this place more magical every year. We enjoyed painting fairy houses and participating in adding to their fairy village this time. I'm sure we'll be back.

Dawn and Jim are beautiful people and true stewards of this land. Come here to feel renewed and joyful. Our kids had a weekend of old-fashioned childhood bliss and we hope to come back soon.

Amazing place large enough for 15 people. Jim and his son Owen was friendly especially when our car broke down and he helped us out when we needed help.
