Welcome to our Hawks Landing Tent Camping spot, tucked away in the open desert among the San Jacinto Mountains. This is the perfect peaceful getaway near the stunning Joshua Tree National Park and tons of outdoors activities.

About the Property:

This property is a high desert setting with spectacular mountainous views surrounding the campsites - it's definitely a picturesque scene. We are ideally situated about 25 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park, which offers endless trails for hikes and stunning photo opportunities! You can also hit right outside your tent and enjoy exploring our desert land. There is a shooting range nearby as well if that interests you - just 5 minutes away. We are about 5 minutes from the Morongo Preserve, which is situated in the Little San Bernardino Mountains, and is a really fun day trip to hike, bird watch, and explore all the animals and wildlife there. Our property is also just 25 minutes away from Palm Springs downtown where you’ll find great restaurants, shops, pools, gyms, and fun nightlife. Even closer than Palm Springs is the classic old Pioneer town, with stellar sold out performances at Pappy and Harriet’s bar and entertainment venue.

We, as your hosts, want you to enjoy your time here and we respect privacy. However, there is usually someone at the main house who can help out with any needs or questions during your stay. Otherwise, you can contact us by phone/Hipcamp app messaging.

We are two friends and business partners who moved out of the city 3 years ago, and haven't looked back. The peace of mind outside of the city, allows us to think and dream big. We love sharing our land with guests!

We hope you enjoy the view of the San Jacinto mountains, and the amazing open-sky star-gazing as much as we do!

About the Listing:

Come pitch your tent on our property and set up camp in the desert surrounded by beautiful views and an open sky above. We do have multiple sites, so you should expect to see other campers in passing and in common areas throughout your stay. There are private fire pits provided on site, so you can cozy up by the campfire and toast some marshmallows (when it is safe to do so - if there is a fire ban in effect, campfires of any kind are not allowed on the property). We have firewood available for sale (see the “extra” below when you are completing your booking). We also have picnic tables at the campsites for you and your friends or family to enjoy a bite to eat or your morning coffee! We do not provide potable water at our campsites, so please bring drinking water with you. We also have a shared restroom and outdoor shower for your comfort.

Additional Details to Note:

- Check-in is after 12pm and check-out is before 12pm

- Things to bring: Water to drink, trash bags (there is a dumpster for disposal), towels for shower, cooking supplies, etc.

- We have wifi by the main house, however there is no wifi throughout the campsites. Cell reception is strong for all carriers.

- We welcome your pets! Please ensure your pets are on a leash during your stay and keep in mind we have 3 cats.

Please feel free to reach out with any questions and we look forward to your stay!

We really enjoyed our stay - Nate was a great host, friendly and around if we needed help with anything. Site offered great views of the stars. Bathroom and outdoor shower were a short walk away. Definitely follow the recommended directions and not Google maps!

Super cute campsite! They had shade, water, a bathroom that was way nicer than any campground, and an outdoor shower! The firewood available for purchase was a great perk as well. Great option for staying outside the park.

We had a nice stay! Beautiful surrounding, they have 2 camping spots and some caravans on site. Loved the restroom, didn’t try but there’s a shower as well. Be aware there’s no grill on the fire pit, but overall I would recommend!

This was a great camp spot! Both spaces were private, had a nice outdoor fire pit and a cool outdoor shower. The hosts sent us directions in advance which made it much easier to find the property. I originally requested to stay in the camper but was it already reserved. The hosts were really fast to respond and easy to communicate with, sending me the link to the camp spot when I was in a pinch. When I arrived Elijah gave me a tour of the up and coming property, including Nates amazing design studio.
