Grab your blankies and get away to the Carrizo Plains, one of the most unique landscapes California has to offer. Come check out the Little Brave House and camp in style. In the winter months, the Carrizo Plains explode with colorful wildflowers and the Soda Lake ecosystem blooms to life. In the off season, it is golden brown as far as the eye can see. All year long, it is home to wildlife unique to this area, including birds, fox, rabbits, coyotes and the elusive Pronghorn antelope.
The Little Brave House offers unique accommodations in the middle of this incredible setting. Our off-the-grid cabin offers most of the comforts of home, including a Zinus cloud memory foam mattress, bathroom and shower facilities, solar electricity, comfy, clean accommodations, books and games. It was a quiet little place in the middle of the carizzo plains. I felt safe there and the stars at night and the moon were beautiful. I got up in time to drink coffee and watch the sunrise.
From the views to the quiet scenery, this is a true little oasis in the plains of the Soda Lake area. This quaint pink house that greets you in the middle of this quiet dirt road. You settle into your own little house in the prairie and get 360 views if mountains in the distance and at night, you experience the breathtaking night sky that lets you see the milky way. Do yourself a favor, give a weekend to get out of the city and enjoy the peace and silence that this Casita offers to those who are willing to try something new.
My wife and I stayed here for Valentine’s Day and I have to say it was even BETTER than described! This is the perfect little place to get away from it all and enjoy the clear sky full of stars surrounding you. There was everything we needed there besides bringing our own propane tank and some bedding stuff. The host was communicative and friendly. My only wish is that we could have stayed another night! On top of all that I absolutely loved how adorable the house was with its light purple color. On the way there you pass through open range cattle and I got some great pictures of the cows right in my face. Thank you Jennifer for the awesome stay!
