Come camp under the Oaks. Located 5 miles from where gold was discovered. Rise and shine with the crow of the roosters and know that farm fresh eggs are available for sale. We also have organic produce from the garden. There is an outdoor shower for you to enjoy a short walk down the hill.

While we have a large property, we keep the number of sites/people low so you have privacy and low COVID impact. We do not allow open flame at the camp sites, but do offer a  pavilion where you can cook, meet other guests, hang out and enjoy human interaction. You can purchase firewood for the communal pit for $5. Cell phones don't work well up here! We are looking to bring people back to a sense of community, not the insulated, everyday life of most cell phone watchers!

Do due COVID we are keeping the number of people on the property low.  If you have more than 3 you will need to book more than one camp site.  Sorry we are not accepting large groups any other way at this time.

Enjoy whitewater rafting, some great restaurants, live music or pan for gold in the nearby town of Coloma. Also there are 90 wineries in the area, or stay on the property enjoying the peace and quiet of our 100 acre farm. Great place to make home base if you want to take a day trip to Lake Tahoe also.

Site 6 and 7 are the most private sites. Site 5 looks to be the least desirable as it is on the side of the road. Sites 1-4 are on a hill and have access to water. The sites were well maintained and Angela was a very welcoming host. We would totally stay here again.

We had a lovely stay at Columbia Flat. The campsite is spacious and under the shade of a tree. We enjoyed the nature and quietness!

This is our second time staying here and will absolutely be back again. The sites are large, communal space is easy to navigate, and the proximity to river and wineries can’t be beat. 10 out of 10, would recommend.

Excellent communicators, and available to respond.
Thank you for the homemade blackberry jam and little basket of blackberries. Nice homey touch!

It was very peaceful and beautiful and very much in the wilderness while close to civilization. There is a sink, hose, wood burning pizza oven and propane grill. There is also a portapotty. There is a horsesho set up and a bean bag set.

Hipcamper Chris

Great! quiet, spacious, remote.

What a great place to camp for a night! Quiet and far from road (site 7). Star-filled sky. Large trees to shade us during the afternoon. Really nice.

The hosts were some of the nicest people you’ll ever meet. They came to check on us every day and gave us fresh vegetables from their garden along with their homemade jam and honey. The campsite and cooking area were clean and there were lots of trees like we wanted. Beautiful site and wonderful hosts!

Great place. Nice host. Wonderful facilities: grill, toilet, outdoor sink / kitchen area, a cute little fire area for a group, nice tables, they even have the game of cornhole (aka bags) to play.
