Staying in a caravan has been on my list for a long time, and the Sheep wagon did not disappoint! I highly recommend this unique and beautiful listing.
Karen and Claire were amazingly generous hosts. Their property is so peaceful and scenic - from the serene duck pond to the beautiful vineyards to the immaculate barn, it was immediately clear that they put a lot of love into their property.
We stayed at the Sheep wagon which faces their serene pond, across from the main house. The pond is home to ducks, Canada geese, bass, herons, red-winged blackbirds, frogs and other wildlife. We really enjoyed drinking coffee in the morning and listening to birdsong. We also explored the ~80 acres of property hiking the well-maintained trails (also perfect for mountain bikes). The highlight of our stay was the wine tasting where Karen taught us about her wines. She is incredibly knowledgeable and we ended up buying some amazing bottles at very reasonable prices.
The Sheep wagon itself was very comfortable and provided plenty of sleeping space for two (short) adults. Temperatures dropped into the 30's on the first night we were there, but we were cozy enough in sleeping bags in the insulated wagon. Be sure to bring your own outdoor cooking setup, and be prepared to either use nature's bathroom or walk over to the barn (a 5-10min walk). There is no cell service on site so be sure to download important info ahead of time.
