Capra Ranch is situated in a mountain valley in the outskirts of Santa Clarita, CA. The property has no active residents or neighbors. It is only accessible via one private road which has 24- hour security. This means expansive space with complete privacy. It borders the Angeles National Forest which means endless wilderness exploration, hiking and off roading trails are just steps from the campsite.
The designated campsite is a small area surrounded by mature trees for privacy from other campsites. It’s nice and flat and can accommodate 6-8 guests. Plenty of space to maneuver and turn around trailers, RV’s and toy haulers.
It is approximately 300 feet from the on-site vacant house which is off limits for exploration or entry.
You will have an upward facing view of the southern part of the property which is a canyon surrounded by mountains, a train track which is active, and a seasonal river, old gold mines, and lots of hiking.
Things to consider: Traffic can be heard driving by, however not seen. It’s a public two lane road. The train is very loud and passes through the canyon in intervals. The terrain is mountain wilderness. Inhabitants include deer, bears, mountain lions, and rattlesnakes.
This property has was abandoned for many years until recently. A vacant home and trash is scattered on the western side of the property. It is actively monitored and in the process of being cleaned and prepped for rehabilitation construction. The camp site itself has expansive views facing away from the construction areas.
