Greetings from Cathy and Bill's Cannabis Friendly Tent Camping location in California's Emerald Triangle!! Over the last 25 years, we have developed our 160 acre, off-grid homestead in the forested, coastal mountains of Mendocino California. We are delighted to share our lifestyle and to offer everybody a sweet, private spot in the woods next to our pond, where you can be free to explore the outdoors and observe the abundant wildlife in their undisturbed home. We walk lightly on the land, and we expect our guests to do the same.
We are family friendly and have excursions for you to meet our horses and goats, or tour our off-grid solar system. The pond site is located on a private, internal dirt road, which also provides for long, secluded walking or biking activities. The pond is big enough for small kayaks, paddle boards, and rafts if swimming is not your thing.
We have created one tent campsite that is van and truck camping friendly, and can take travel trailers max 16’ length. Yes, you read that correctly, one tent site ... absolute, complete privacy just for you!! Did I mention that town is less than 10 minutes from your campsite?
We installed a fire pit with an amazing view of the night sky this past winter. Upon your arrival, there will be a match light fire set up and ready for a warm welcome to your site. We have ample camp fire wood available for purchase throughout your stay.
Come check it out! The homestead has much to offer: Eat from our organic garden, check out Cathy's handcrafted Organic Insect Repellant, tour our off-grid solar system and meet our horses and goats. We are cannabis friendly 🌱, we like a chill vibe, and if you get the munchies ... Cathy handcrafts some delicious organic ice cream that we'll deliver to your campsite.

Overall it was a really beautiful campsite and the owners were super friendly and great at communicating. I would not recommend going when it’s super rainy or if your car doesn’t have four wheel drive because we could not get our car up to the campsite a few times because of how muddy it was.
I was greeted at the gate and then led to an outdoor oasis. The property was well maintained. I’d like to keep most of it a surprise for you as it was for me. My favorite part was the sounds and sights around the pond.
Would like to venture back there again and try the ice cream next time.
The site was amazing and i had plenty of space! Cathy and Bill were great, and i loved the ice cream. I would definitely go back next time i want to call in the area!

Cathy and Bill made our weekend in Mendocino one of the best car camping experiences we've ever had! Not only is their property beautiful, the campsite they've constructed is well-maintained and thoughtfully appointed. On top of that, Cathy delivered homemade ice cream for my partner's birthday (delicious!) and we were able to take home with us a huge bounty of greens and tomatoes from Cathy's garden at a super reasonable cost. Words don't do justice to just how wonderful our visit was. I hope to come back soon and share this slice of heaven with friends.

I’m not much of a camper but my son has been asking to go on a regular basis. Cathy and Bill’s place was so nice that I might be a camping convert! They were amazing hosts, greeting us and super responsive (not to mention phenomenal ice cream). We all slept really well, set up on their laser leveled site, with zero slope or bumps. Even the toilet was nice! Cathy and Bill have put so much thought and care into every aspect of their place and it shows. Highly recommend.

Kathy and Bill are wonderful hosts! I opted for the horse and pygmy goat encounter, solar tour, and the ice cream. I loved every moment and truly enjoy the little campsite they've developed. This is a great option for anyone wanting to learn more about off the grid lifestyles or just wanting to get away. You'll be close to Willits and I encourage you to check out their wonderful downtown.
