No Office On-Site: Directions: • Go directly into the campground and locate an empty picnic table. Contact: • Text/Call Christine (shared info is withheld until payment is made). • Pro Tip: Download the free HipCamp App—it's the best way to communicate with your host. Location: • Search for "Last Chance Camp, Cheyenne" on Maps. • Take Exit 16/211 and head right/east off the ramp. • At the next cross street, Yellowstone Road, take a left. • The next street is Coonrod Road on the right (you’ll see a large school on the west side of Yellowstone). Look for the North Star sign and mailboxes. • Continue down Coonrod Road for 3/4 of a mile. You’ll find us on the left/north side, marked by our signage "Last Chance Camp" and house number 11234. Arrival & Facilities: • Please plan to be fully self-contained and self-sufficient if arriving after 8 PM. Sunset is at 8:04 PM on 8/10/24, and the views, especially of the stars, are truly stunning! • Check-In 1230 PM / Check-Out by 12pm – Please pick up trash items like cig butts and candy wrappers, leaving no trace is grace. • Clean port-a-pot available on site. • Cars, vans, motorcycles, buses, and motorhomes of all sizes are welcome. Amenities: • Rustic Ranch Style Community Kitchen: Located by the barns, it features electric toaster ovens, burners, coffee, tea, excellent deep well water, gas grills, a dining table, and all necessary dishes and utensils. The Rib & Chop House is a popular dining spot. • Little Bear Inn Steakhouse and The Brand Bar (3 country miles from camp): Enjoy local ranch-style beef. Additional Notes: • Camping Style: This is primitive, boondocking, dry camping, or rustic ranch camping with great water! No dump stations or hookups available. • Electric Site: We do have one electric site (120 volts). See the other listing for details. • Quiet Hours: No loud generators (over 60 decibels) allowed. All generators off by 10 PM and on after 7 AM. • Port-a-Pot: There is one port-a-pot on-site, emptied every Wednesday. Please be considerate and use the facilities properly. • Seasonal Outdoor Shower: With on-demand hot water, located on the side of the large outdoor kitchen with electric and two barns. In the off-season (Sept-June), ask about the indoor shower at the Guest House (availability may vary due to private bookings). Accommodations: • Guest House & Lodging: We rent rooms in our Guest House, Horsebox Renovation, and Guest House Lodging (hostel style). These are currently available through another app. See the main website, Last Chance Camp, Cheyenne, for online booking. • Camping Options: 10 acres of prairie with fresh water available in the NW corner in the trees (look for the sign). Tents can be pitched anywhere west of the house in the trees or on the prairie. The greenhouse is also available during off-season months—let us know if you're interested in camping there, as it's much warmer. Group Camping & Lodging Events: • We offer group camping for events, mainly in July during Cheyenne Frontier Days. See the website for more information. • Lodging: 22 Ft Tipi, Horsebox Renovation, Motorhome, Bell Tent. All are furnished. We are working on a better website, in the meantime just ask. Barnie the orange barn cat is shy, he was a feral rescue so he's skittish, no holding, loud noise or attempts to pick up, he may allow but when spooked he may accidently scratch you getting away. ... but he loves a good scratching ... if your lucky! Perfect for gatherings, romantic getaways, meetings, and more. It comfortably sleeps up to 8 guests with 2 Queen Hammock Cots and 3 Tri-Fold Twin Size Mats that also make great seats. Arrival & Facilities: • Check-In/Out: 1:00 PM / 11 PM • Camping Style: This is Not Glamping. Enjoy being Rustic and self-sufficient. • A prophane firepit is in the Tipi. The Painted Buffalo furnished Tipi

We loved everything. I am camping with small children (3 and 5). We arrived after dark but our host called us before sunset to make sure we knew how to get to the tipi. I appreciate the call-out in the description that sometimes people ask to peek inside because it wasn't weird when someone did ask the following morning :) The propane fire pit in the center warmed the whole tent up VERY quickly. The beds were comfortable and it was so amazing to have seating and warm blankets and so much space. We would absolutely return if we're back in the area.

Very pleasant, quiet stay. Beautiful property just outside of the city. We only stayed 1 night, but would definitely stay again.

Cheyenne Wyoming Ranch Camp Exit 16

Prior to our camping trip, I reached out to the host with questions about the country kitchen and campfire options. The first response simply directed me to "look at the pictures," and my follow-up email—which asked for clarification due to some inconsistencies between the photos and written description, as well as questions about fire regulations—went unanswered. This lack of communication made planning a bit frustrating. When we arrived, the host did greet us and offered a quick tour of the kitchen, but again, the explanation was essentially "what you see is what you get." Once we had time to look around, we discovered there was a grill and a Blackstone available—both of which would have been very helpful to know about in advance for meal planning. The campsite itself was decent—mostly an open field. One thing to note is that not every site had a picnic table, despite what the map suggested. We were prepared and brought our own, but more accurate information would have been appreciated. Lastly, the weather during our stay (early August) was extremely windy, which caused some damage to our tent. Of course, that’s not the host’s fault, but it did affect our overall experience and is a factor in our decision not to return.

The host and staff are friendly, helpful and kind. The camp supports RV campers primarily and when we checked in there was a rodeo scheduled for the next day. The camp was full to capacity. The tent area is next to the entrance and people were arriving late into the night so it was hard to sleep. Our timing could have been better. The camp did serve its purpose on a long cross country commute. It would have been nice to camp away from the entrance.

The staff at this place were all very nice and helpful. The tent sites were so close together and the ground was uneven. There is no seperation between the tent sites. No tables. Just super basic, someone's yard/field. Festival style camping. We decided not to stay here after seeing the site. The RV sites were super close together too, but at least you have a sound barrier with an RV. We were there for Frontier days, so a very busy time where it was at full capacity. Probably better at other times.

I stayed for one night on a Wednesday with a small tent. The owners were obviously gearing up for the event of the summer--Cheyenne Frontier Days. I had reserved tent site #11, so I drove their loop, but nothing seemed to be marked (or at least wasn't marked well). I went to the front door and nobody answered. I eventually saw one person told me that the sites weren't marked yet...not a big deal, because I didn't care where they put me, as I was only there to crash for a night...and the field was wide open anyway. He directed me in a general direction and drove off. Also, I saw a note on the door that basically said that you could camp with up to 6 people for $25 a night...which was annoying, since I had booked a site for a total of $46.72 through HipCamp. Not a big deal, but still disappointing. The place was easy to find and was nice and quiet. They appeared to have a decent outdoor kitchen and other amenities, which I had no need for or interest in, but they were available. Since they were gearing up for the big event, the port-a-potties were freshly-delivered and nice and clean. Overall, the place is nice and quiet and suited my needs perfectly.

This was a beautiful area. Christine and her family were so welcoming, kind and accommodating. The outdoor kitchen was clean and accessible, the outdoor shower was invigorating and clean. I had a wonderful stay here!!!

I had the pleasure of staying at this campsite last night, and I can’t say enough good things about the experience. From the moment I arrived, the owner made me feel incredibly welcome—genuinely friendly, helpful, and clearly passionate about creating a great space for guests. The entire property was spotless. Bathrooms, campsites, and common areas were all meticulously clean, which made settling in that much more enjoyable. You can tell they take pride in maintaining the place to a high standard. The views from the campsite were absolutely stunning—whether it was watching the sunrise with a cup of coffee or enjoying a peaceful sunset, the natural beauty surrounding this place is something special. One of the things I really appreciated was the sense of community. The fellow campers were warm, respectful, and easy to chat with, which added a great vibe to the stay without sacrificing any peace and quiet. And to top it all off, the price was excellent. It’s rare to find a place that offers such quality and value all in one. I left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already looking forward to coming back. Five stars all the way!

Quick and easily accessable camping. Great for an overnight. The weather was stormy and they messaged us with all safety information well ahead of time. Would liked to have had better marking for camping spaces. We were concerned that we may not be in proper spot. This was only a minor concern and did not effect the quality of the stay.

We stayed 1 night in our travel trailer while passing through and would stay again. Our spot was level in the grass and we had a picnic table. Since we were only there a short time we did not use any amenities, though they seemed like a nice perk. The instructions and follow up after booking is very thorough and the host ensures that you are all set with the info before you arrive, which is very much appreciated!
