The Hobbit Home was truly a healing and nourishing space for my beloved and I. When we weren’t exploring the land, we spent most of our time reading, playing board games, drinking tea, relaxing in the tub and feeding the fire.
Bec and Jeff offer a warm and cosy abode amongst the natural elements. They were easy to communicate with, created a comfortable environment and upon our request, offered us another night stay.
We’re so grateful to have spent this time away to rest, reset and appreciate the simple joys in life. We look forward to one day returning to the Hobbit Home.

This place is magical. I can’t recommend it enough. I can’t get over just how beautiful the area is. The drive out was beautiful, the house had everything you could possibly need. The creek in the back yard was magical. I’ll definitely be back. I could live here.

We loved the comfy eclectic hobbit house. It was the perfect place to unplug. Glamping at its best with AC Wifi (in case you don’t want to in plug) and a nice shower. The hosts were great and took us down to the river that runs through the back of the property. It would be a great place to cool off on a hot day. A little slice of heaven. Highly recommend.

The hobbit hut was so cute and cozy, we absolutely loved the place (especially the bathroom).
The serenity of the property and beautiful creek to swim in was lovely as was bec.

I've long considered what it would be like to live a pared back life with fewer trappings in a larger than necessary home. My week long stay at the Hobbit House gave me affirmation that it could be done. Simplicity, peace, and the sound of the crystal clear Kalang river burbling along, with occasional visits by chooks, a horse and cow, and myriad forms of bird life at dawn and dusk, are all to be had in this truly charming spot. Listening to the antics of skinks chasing each other across the roof might be unnerving for people unused to the vagaries and close proximity of nature but if you're willing to accept the wonder of it all, then you'd be well placed to visit.

It was amazing! The cutest little hut. Clean sheets comfy bed. It was perfect even though it rained most of the time it was fantastic because they had board games, quizzes and dvds to keep you entertained. Beautiful area with the creek right there. Will definitely be back!

Honestly this is one of the best experiences I've ever had travelling on my own. Bek was really kind and helpful with all my questions. The area is beautiful and there is so much wildlife around to see.
The place is really cosy and tucked away so you have plenty of privacy. I'd highly recommend this if you want a getaway that isn't too far from town but far enough away that you can enjoy the peace and quiet :)

I spent a "reading week" in the hobbit house to catch up on a backlog of reading and it was the perfect space for it. Lots of cosy spots to sit and read including in front of the fire. Very quiet and peaceful with the slight sound of the river in the background adding to the effect.
I didn't venture out much but the area is very beautiful. The hosts were both wonderful and helpful.

The Hobbit Hut is a truly amazing experience. It really is something so unique and out of this world, it makes you feel like you’re a million miles away.
The hut has so much character and is very well set up. It’s really more of a little house than a hut. It is furnished beautifully and is so comfortable and cosy that glamping is an understatement.
The property is just absolutely stunning and really makes you feel like you’re a lot more than 20 minutes out of town. The perfect place to just unravel and let go, relaxing in the peace and calm of the beautiful setting listening to the river, while still being 20 minutes away from an array of choices for good food and a great coffee.
To top it off the hosts are just wonderful. Very warm, welcoming and accomodating. They did so much to ensure we had everything we needed to just relax and enjoy our time there.
Can’t wait for our next escape to the Hobbit Hut and feeling like we’ve travelled to another world.

What a dreamy escape! The cabin is gorgeous, for starters, but there's also something magical about being immersed into a lush valley for a couple of days. It rained throughout my stay but I think that actually added to the experience: drinking tea, reading books, eating cheese, listening to the drops fall onto the roof, breathing the earthy fresh air. Highly recommended for a romantic getaway or a solo reset.

My partner and me staid at the hobbit house for two nights and we had such a great time. Really lovely and helpful hosts and the swimming hole was one of the highlights. Loved the cosy house and the outside bathtub a lot!
The bed was like sleeping on a cloud and little fireplace in the house and outside if needed.
If you want to spend some quite time in the hills this is the Perfect Spot.
10 out of 10 for the whole experience!!

We had such a magical time at the Hobbit House. Such an incredible property to wonder through, 30 mins up the gorgeous Kalang Valley from Bellingen. It was so great to settle in and snuggle down for a few days - the stormy weather suited us perfectly. A warm bath, a toasty fire - the best!

The humble hobbit home was an enchantment straight outa fairy tale land !!!!
The fire place was prepped, waiting patiently for our single match, once lit we were spoilt in warmth with cozy blankets and cushions that lend a hand into deep relaxation.
Bending down to enter the yoga space reminded us of the importance of being humble, bowing heads to all the little things in life that need to be nurtured in order to grow.
After some stretches, bubbles were opened, Celebrating life and all the small wins throughout the evening, we then discovered a funny sign after midnight!
The place really earnt our hearts by all the small touches of tenderness on display.
We really enjoyed the myrtle essential oil from ur burner and the tangelos were so tasty, we were prepared with our own juicer. Other wins was the coffee ritual, the super hot and lovely bathtub, feeding the chickens our compost in the morning, visiting the loo with a view (most fave loo of all time!!!) waking up in a very comfy bed, all the soft warmies, the fire pit, geeze the list just keeps going.
The wild and rugged swim spot was icey cool invigorating and the bellingen weather just turned it on for us with sun rays beaming through the stained glass nooks. We were totally encapsulated in hobbit bliss, big special thanks to the host who also made some extras possible for me to purchase, I bought a handmade candle for my guest and was very delighted to hear that the candle she received was her favourite scent!!
Our rendezvous was so special, was very happy to have filled the fridge with yummy local delights from Bellingen, our left over hummus went superbly with the carton of eggs we ordered with the place too. Such a treat!!! Now I know where all the fairy live!

The Hobbit House is so epic! My partner and I had the most wonderful winter stay over a weekend. The place is super cosy and comfortable with all you’d ever need. We could have easily stayed for a week. It’s a unique eco-type experience that makes you feel like you’re back in the hippie 70’s. The place was built during those times, by the way!
The fireplace is glorious, the bed is comfy and we enjoyed a lovely hot bath in the semi-outdoor bathroom. There are plenty of fun games and sounds of nature to keep you entertained.
Bellingen township is about a 30 minute drive through the spectacular Gondwana rainforest and there are endless beautiful hikes within 1hr radius of the residence.
Bec was a friendly, hospitable and welcoming host with great communication throughout. Plenty of privacy, which adds to the experience.
I’d highly recommend booking this great little hidden gem for a nature-filled getaway. You won’t regret it!

What an absolute hidden gem !
The idyllic rustic little cabin. Very rustic, but everything you need to escape.
The perfect place to get away from the world .. sitting in the sun on the veranda with a good book with the sounds of the running creek and wildlife to sooth your soul .. or curled up in the couch with the fire to keep warm !!
Waking up to the sounds of nature and not having to get up from your comfy bed but just lay and soak up the views.
Make sure you take some bath salts and enjoy a candlelight soak in the privacy of the outdoor bath and not to forget the view from the loo !!
Make sure you take plenty of good and snacks do you don’t have to go to town and can enjoy total seclusion !!

Or stay at the Hobbit House was perfect. It’s such a cosy little shack that is perfectly private, although Bec is very close by. The creek was flowing and pristine. The bush was beautiful. The bed was a fairly comfortable double. Kitchen was well equipped. The outdoor bathroom was fun, and the view from the loo, perched in the canopy was second to none!
We felt very welcomed and comfortable and would love to return someday.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in The Hobbit House. Despite the rain we had plenty to keep us entertained, with a puzzle, lots of reading, and great games provided by the lovely host Bec! The Hobbit House was cozy and unique! We hope to come back again soon so we can check out the surrounds without all the rain!

Hobbit House is a beautiful little oasis just outside of Bellengin. Rebecca is such a welcoming and kind host with the most beautiful dog. They both made us feel so welcome.
The house is super cute and has everything you’d need for a relaxing stay, even a little yoga room. Just make sure you mind your head! It’s not called Hobbit House for nothing!
We went to the Bellengin farmers markets one Wednesday and came back to have a bbq with all local ingredients. Such a beautiful stay.

If we could give a hundred stars we would! Staying at the Hobbit House was such an enjoyable experience, we loved the outdoor bath and swimming in the sacred platypus pond. It’s a very unique and wholesome place for a holiday. We hope to be back soon. Thanks Bec!

The place was enchanting, clean and beautiful. Waking up to the sounds of birds and nature. The house more than adequate with kitchen/internet/fireplace. Bring food since Bellingen is a 20min drive on a dirt road. My partner and l had a great time overall.
