Primitive camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
This remote primitive campground is NE of Kingston, Arkansas in the Boston Mountains of the Ozark plateau. The wooded 14 acres is nestled just above a scenic bluff looking south. You can set your tent on our grassy knoll or find a random spot anywhere under our hardwoods or pines. There is one designated gravel site pad for a mid size trailer. The only roads to Spoken N’ Tru are gravel. I highly recommend taking the shortest gravel route from Kingston. This particular gravel road is 6 miles. If you are pulling a camper this is definitely the best. There is another longer 8 mile option from 412 - south from Dryfork in between Huntsville and Harrison. Please keep in mind that Spoke N’ Tru is a cozy but primitive camping site with no amenities so be ready to check your electronics before heading down our gravel roads. Lastly, please read amenity notes, especially regarding waste. This remote primitive campground is NE of Kingston, Arkansas in the Boston Mountains of the mighty Ozark plateaus. Spoke N’ Tru
Highly recommend!
We spent two nights here with a camper van plus a 2-man tent and had a wonderful time. The property is just as it looks in the pictures and the view from the overlook is beautiful. It is a very peaceful place. I recommend booking both sites for privacy as the camping area is not very large and you might end up with someone camping pretty close to you. It's worth it to have this place all to yourself! There is some driving on gravel roads required to get to the property but the location is ideal for exploring the area around Ponca. It was about a 15-minute drive to the Centerpoint trailhead. I highly recommend camping here!
