Step into your own private wilderness park where hiking trails weave past whispering waterfalls, sunlit bluffs, and crystal-clear streams. We are confidant the Cadron will deliver an exceptional experience but having day jobs you are pretty well on your own upon arrival: DIY! 1) Streamside Camping: Secluded tent sites with easy access to Cadron creek – many with picnic tables, fire pits, grills, and lamp posts 2) RV Camping: Limited sites, pull-through, up to 30 feet, level, hard gravel base, with basic hookups (electricity, no full sewer) 3) Dispersed Camping: Outside of the campground there are nearly 100 acres available for camping. If you are up to roughing it a bit we'll point you in the right direction. 3) Cabins and Glamping: For those that like to settle right in we have rustic cabins and campers with modern comforts (some include AC, heating, and kitchenettes) Activities and amenities include swimming, boating, fishing, hiking, a 6-acre foraging field and 9-hole Frisbee golf course, bouldering, zen/meditation deck, climbing, psicobloc and more outdoor pursuits than one has time to pursue. Children can enjoy the Ninja rope course with zipline, slackline, and rope swing and petting Biscuit and Buttercup – our favored Kunekune forest pigs. And, Woolly Hollow State Park, Cove Creek Natural Heritage Area, Persimmon Ridge Resort and Greer's Ferry Lake are a short drive away. We invite you to our little piece of paradise on the Cadron. Bathe in a forest of tall standing pines and oak trees. Sit on the bank of a cascading stream. Embrace nature. We lie at the edge of civilization but we have good cell phone service and water hydrants and electrical outlets for recharging phones. And from March through November hot water showers are freely available. Our place is a bit rough, rugged and unruly yet we call it home -- a place where everyone regardless of race, gender identity, sexual orientation, ability, political views, religion, or culture is welcomed to come enjoy nature's marvelous works and wonders. #1 - Creekside: Bluff Manor

Bluff Manor. A favored site. Walk-in camping (approx. 80-100 feet) to an intimate site that sits aside Playground Shoals at the bottom of a top bluff. Absolutely wonderful spot -- away from all other campsites and offering easy access to our trail system. Picnic table, fire ring, tripod gril. Just an all around great campsite, dark and shady, and a place where the sound of cascading water will lull you to sleep.

#2 - Creekside: Eager Beaver

The first site you see upon crossing over onto the island and one of the largest and most accessible sites. Surrounded by swimming holes, the slough and the Ninja Bootcamp Playground this a favored site for larger groups with children.

#11 - Creekside: Forage Forest

Forage Forest. The end of the line and as about as far as you can get from everyone while still camping on the island. Hidden but accessible and with its own trail to the water, Beyond the camp site lies the Forage Forest -- 3+ acres of yummy delights -- and the trail to Lil' B and Big B' Falls. One can access this site by car but it is a tight squeeze more suitable for tents and/or hammocks. Trailers and campers? No. Again, this site is not suitable for camper or trailer. We recently had a guest that could NOT turn around with his truck and camper until he uncoupled the camper -- do NOT make this mistake.

#4 - Creekside: Belvedere

Belvedere. Just another great creek side campsite. The Belvedere lies low and out of sight. Right on the river's edge the camp serves as a great perch from which to watch the river flow by -- just serene. There is a short but steep trail to water and our deepest swim hole with rope swing. When reserved with SITE#5 and the pavilion you have room for up to 20 people, several tents and protection from the rain.

#8 - Creekside: Hog Inn

Hog Inn. Can you say "Dome Life"? Cody and Kelly? Well the Hog Inn is their Cadron base camp -- and it is as sweet in every way as they are and a nice place to settle in for a weekend. Lulled by the cascading waters you'll sleep well. The site is a little on the small side (4-person tent) but is close enough to Site#9 that the two are often reserved together for larger groups.. Can you say "Hog Heaven"?

Tanner's I-40 Wilderness Escape

A camp site specifically designed for the cross-country traveler on the go. Just a few short miles (nearly all 4-lane blacktop) off I-40 north of Conway we have created a site designed for easy access and efficient camping. Moreover it lies at the edge of Pinnacle Springs Campground and thus offer miles of trails and river to explore if one has a little extra time. And even if in a hurry to break ground after a night's sleep one can still explore the cascades of nearby Tanner's Pool Trail before departing in the morning. The campsite has everything: picnic table, bench, and fire ring with grill -- even a bundle of firewood ready to burn.  And electricity, water and clean porta-potty are all readily available for your use. Instant booking allows for last minute reservations late into the night if so desired.  This camp is designed for quick in and out camping.  Approaches: 1)  Walk -- Park at the gate (small field just to the right).  Campsite is less than 100 feet away via Tanner's Pool Trail.  You can see green table and bench from gate. 2)  Drive -- If unlocked, open the gate (lift loop over post to open, close to maximize privacy and security) and drive through pine grove.  As soon as you emerge from pine grove there is a road off to your right -- follow, bearing right until you loop back to arrive at campsite -- you can park literally aside your tent.  Hint: We strongly encourage you to explore the grounds while visiting -- Tanner's Trail which descends the hill from the campsite offers a great way to see the land and access the river. NOTE: If you can't read a map, or don't know how to use GPS or can't follow directions to a particular address PLEASE camp elsewhere!! We don't have time and staff needed to coddle guests.

Paddler's Pad. A camp hidden in the woods near the upper boat access with its own trail to the water. This is a new site in the making but has a picnic table and fire pit. One can access by car but it is a tight squeeze more suitable for tents and/or hammocks. Trailers and campers? No. Again, this site is not suitable for camper or trailer. Site 3 - Camp Toasty - Electric

Camp Toasty -- the "Upstairs Campground" -- lies on the ridge above Pinnacle Springs Campground and offers far more open ground for camping and field activities,  Camp Toasty is definitely where you want to be if you want any of the following: 1) electrical hookups (add $5/night) 2) level sites suitable for a couple of RVs and pull-through campers 3) accommodations more suitable for larger groups -- lots and lots of room But this is DIY camping -- and if you can't "do it yourself" then perhaps there are better places to be.  Even if in doubt:  please camp elsewhere.  Camp Toasty offers open field primitive camping with picnic tables, benches,   landscape lighting and a large bluff-side deck that overlooks the river.    Porta-potties can be found downwind and upwind there is a water faucet and fishing pond that guests are invited to enjoy.    For those on a tight budget spending a night or two or more at Camp Toasty still offers you the full experience of  the entire 100 acre park:  swimming, fishing, climbing, hiking, and exploration complete the picture.   Everything that can be found at Pinnacle Springs Campground except riverside camping.  IMPORTANT #1:    Hipcamp will put a hold on your funds when you submit your booking request, but they only capture the charge when/if a request to book is accepted. Some people have asked about camping in total solitude so we now have designated sites sited far, far away from anyone,  Whether camping solo or camping with friends and family we offer so many choices one can select a site that perfectly fits your needs.    And if you like to swing -- we have trees!  Hammocks and slacklines are the best no trace tree thing ever!    Guests are encouraged to explore any of the trails that criss-cross the property especially if you like waterfalls, scenic views, cascading streams, and goat bluffs.  The trails to Tanner Pool and Lil' and Big B Falls are especially popular after a heavy rain, Bluff Trail offers a nice perch for viewing the river below, and the 1+ mile "circuit trail" is a great way to start one's day.   There is even a 10-acre foraging playground -- oxalis, nettle, ginger, mint, poke, etc., a 1/2 acre fishing pond -- suitable for "storing" any fish you catch in the creek but you may not wish to clean and eat -- and a nine hole frisbee golf course on the slave-built terraces where cotton fields once lay (first tee near bench by front gate).  I could go on and on -- this is a pretty awesome place with hundreds of acres at your disposal -- rough and rugged yet close to home.   Durng season (March through May) we also offer kayak and canoe rental, guide and shuttling service, and have four separate campgrounds on the banks of Cadron Creek to support multi-day paddling adventures.   UPDATES -COVID-19 -- We are open.  Yes open, but with qualifications.  No warm embraces, hugs and handshakes upon arrival and social distancing is the norm.  Camp as far as way as possible from the next closest camper and if you're walking a trail and see someone else, you might consider turning and going the other way as we have hundreds of acres and lots of trails to wander.  Also please "lube up" upon entering rest room facilities and "lube up" again after leaving -- HINT:  the facilities at Camp Toasty get very little use.   Please also note it takes us longer to turn-over restrooms, campsites and cabins now and there may be a slight delay in getting facilities clean and disinfected from time to time.  Bring TP as we are having a hard time keeping it in stock -- seems someone or two are taking what we leave out for the guests to use. RESPONSE TIME - We have day jobs!    The campground is our passion and hobby and we do not have a full time staff to always be available to meet and greet our guests especially after hours and on week days.  If full time staffing and coddling is required -- this is not the place!  Similarly -- our response time right now is averaging just less then two hours and we have no expectations that it will improve anytime soon -- so again if immediate responses to questions and inquiries are required   -- this is not the place!  WELCOMING PARTY:  Once you have made a reservation through HipCamp -- you are good to go.  Feel free to ask questions and make inquiries for additional information but anticipate we will be practicing "social distancing" and will likely not even visit your campsite once you are on location.  That isn't to say we aren't here to assist to you but in the absence of such need our goal is to simply "stay away".   We do have an information table at the front gate where you can pick up maps and guides or leave us a message -- disinfectant is available at the table -- so you may find we aren't really even needed. CAMPFIRES:  Campfires are prohibited unless you brought in your own wood or purchased a vet pack of wood from the store.  Similarly the use of downfall, dead trees and fallen limbs is unacceptable.   Burning up our property -- even dead limbs and leaves -- and destroying habitat for lizards, salamanders and bugs will get you permanently banned from our properties.  That said -- we have ample firewood to serve all our campers.  We usually deliver firewood to your campsite in the late afternoon -- if the sun is setting and we still haven't visited please feel free to pick up a bundle outside the store.  Those that have purchased a vet pack of wood can also take as much fire wood as they may need from any of the designated stacks on the property -- three stacks currently at Camp Toasty.  Everyone else -- keep your hands off.   WATER:  The spigot creekside at the campground is currently closed to use.  Rather two water spigots exist for guests to use:  1)  one behind the store and shop at the gate and 2) the other behind the bunk house -- the building off to the left as you enter the campground.   These are free for you to use 24/7.   TRAILS:  All trails are open but we are getting more reports of "ticks" especially when wandering off trail -- thus we encourage the use of repellents and a nightly "tick check".   Like most of Arkansas we also have patches of poison ivy and stinging nettle; however, it is our goal to eradicate such plants where they border trails, roads or campsites so if such is observed please bring to our attention and we'll eradicate it. WILDLIFE:  There is only thing more important to us than you and that is our wildlife that we live with year round.  At this time we have nesting turkeys in the woods and nesting geese and ducks on the water.  Deer and beaver are also abundant.  The family of beavers below Playground Shoals are particularly friendly -- be slow and nice and they'll swim right alongside your boat and even splash you with their tail.  So DO NOT DISTURB THE WILDLIFE!!   The only exception:  if you were to find a poisonous snake on the property -- please inform us so that we can relocate it to a place where fewer people gather.  Most importantly -- please enjoy being surrounded by nature's marvelous works and wonders.  Unwind.   Kick back.  And enjoy! LASTLY -- NO saws, axes or shovels.  We like our place just the way it is!  If you are caught harming flora or fauna or damaging the land in any way you will be asked to leave.  On that you have our guarantee. Camp Toasty -- the "Upstairs Campground" -- lies on the ridge above Pinnacle Springs Campground and offers far more open ground for camping and field activities,  Camp Toasty is definitely where you want to be if you want any of the following: 1) electrical hookups (add $5/night) 2) level sites suitable for a couple of RVs and pull-through campers 3) accommodations more suitable for larger groups -- lots and lots of room But this is DIY camping -- and if you can't "do it yourself" then perhaps there are better places to be.  Even if in doubt:  please camp elsewhere.  Camp Toasty offers open field primitive camping with picnic tables, benches,   landscape lighting and a large bluff-side deck that overlooks the river.    Porta-potties can be found downwind and upwind there is a water faucet and fishing pond that guests are invited to enjoy.    For those on a tight budget spending a night or two or more at Camp Toasty still offers you the full experience of  the entire 100 acre park:  swimming, fishing, climbing, hiking, and exploration complete the picture.   Everything that can be found at Pinnacle Springs Campground except riverside camping.  IMPORTANT #1:    Hipcamp will put a hold on your funds when you submit your booking request, but they only capture the charge when/if a request to book is accepted. Some people have asked about camping in total solitude so we now have designated sites sited far, far away from anyone,  Whether camping solo or camping with friends and family we offer so many choices one can select a site that perfectly fits your needs.    And if you like to swing -- we have trees!  Hammocks and slacklines are the best no trace tree thing ever!    Guests are encouraged to explore any of the trails that criss-cross the property especially if you like waterfalls, scenic views, cascading streams, and goat bluffs.  The trails to Tanner Pool and Lil' and Big B Falls are especially popular after a heavy rain, Bluff Trail offers a nice perch for viewing the river below, and the 1+ mile "circuit trail" is a great way to start one's day.   There is even a 10-acre foraging playground -- oxalis, nettle, ginger, mint, poke, etc., a 1/2 acre fishing pond -- suitable for "storing" any fish you catch in the creek but you may not wish to clean and eat -- and a nine hole frisbee golf course on the slave-built terraces where cotton fields once lay (first tee near bench by front gate).  I could go on and on -- this is a pretty awesome place with hundreds of acres at your disposal -- rough and rugged yet close to home.   Durng season (March through May) we also offer kayak and canoe rental, guide and shuttling service, and have four separate campgrounds on the banks of Cadron Creek to support multi-day paddling adventures.   UPDATES -COVID-19 -- We are open.  Yes open, but with qualifications.  No warm embraces, hugs and handshakes upon arrival and social distancing is the norm.  Camp as far as way as possible from the next closest camper and if you're walking a trail and see someone else, you might consider turning and going the other way as we have hundreds of acres and lots of trails to wander.  Also please "lube up" upon entering rest room facilities and "lube up" again after leaving -- HINT:  the facilities at Camp Toasty get very little use.   Please also note it takes us longer to turn-over restrooms, campsites and cabins now and there may be a slight delay in getting facilities clean and disinfected from time to time.  Bring TP as we are having a hard time keeping it in stock -- seems someone or two are taking what we leave out for the guests to use. RESPONSE TIME - We have day jobs!    The campground is our passion and hobby and we do not have a full time staff to always be available to meet and greet our guests especially after hours and on week days.  If full time staffing and coddling is required -- this is not the place!  Similarly -- our response time right now is averaging just less then two hours and we have no expectations that it will improve anytime soon -- so again if immediate responses to questions and inquiries are required   -- this is not the place!  WELCOMING PARTY:  Once you have made a reservation through HipCamp -- you are good to go.  Feel free to ask questions and make inquiries for additional information but anticipate we will be practicing "social distancing" and will likely not even visit your campsite once you are on location.  That isn't to say we aren't here to assist to you but in the absence of such need our goal is to simply "stay away".   We do have an information table at the front gate where you can pick up maps and guides or leave us a message -- disinfectant is available at the table -- so you may find we aren't really even needed. CAMPFIRES:  Campfires are prohibited unless you brought in your own wood or purchased a vet pack of wood from the store.  Similarly the use of downfall, dead trees and fallen limbs is unacceptable.   Burning up our property -- even dead limbs and leaves -- and destroying habitat for lizards, salamanders and bugs will get you permanently banned from our properties.  That said -- we have ample firewood to serve all our campers.  We usually deliver firewood to your campsite in the late afternoon -- if the sun is setting and we still haven't visited please feel free to pick up a bundle outside the store.  Those that have purchased a vet pack of wood can also take as much fire wood as they may need from any of the designated stacks on the property -- three stacks currently at Camp Toasty.  Everyone else -- keep your hands off.   WATER:  The spigot creekside at the campground is currently closed to use.  Rather two water spigots exist for guests to use:  1)  one behind the store and shop at the gate and 2) the other behind the bunk house -- the building off to the left as you enter the campground.   These are free for you to use 24/7.   TRAILS:  All trails are open but we are getting more reports of "ticks" especially when wandering off trail -- thus we encourage the use of repellents and a nightly "tick check".   Like most of Arkansas we also have patches of poison ivy and stinging nettle; however, it is our goal to eradicate such plants where they border trails, roads or campsites so if such is observed please bring to our attention and we'll eradicate it. WILDLIFE:  There is only thing more important to us than you and that is our wildlife that we live with year round.  At this time we have nesting turkeys in the woods and nesting geese and ducks on the water.  Deer and beaver are also abundant.  The family of beavers below Playground Shoals are particularly friendly -- be slow and nice and they'll swim right alongside your boat and even splash you with their tail.  So DO NOT DISTURB THE WILDLIFE!!   The only exception:  if you were to find a poisonous snake on the property -- please inform us so that we can relocate it to a place where fewer people gather.  Most importantly -- please enjoy being surrounded by nature's marvelous works and wonders.  Unwind.   Kick back.  And enjoy! LASTLY -- NO saws, axes or shovels.  We like our place just the way it is!  If you are caught harming flora or fauna or damaging the land in any way you will be asked to leave.  On that you have our guarantee. OPEN AGAIN!!  One of the best swimming holes in Arkansas and it is all yours!!   Set on an island on the North Fork of  Cadron Creek -- central Arkansas' premier Class II whitewater river! -- this get-away-from-it-all cabin sleeps four  and the adjoining campsite allows for as many as 8 more people to  have  the  entire swimming hole all to yourselves.   This is the way to spend your summer days -- winters too! -- in Arkansas!  Inside the two-story cabin you have a long cabinet/bar with storage, a small table, and chairs.  Downstairs there is twin size bunk bed  and in the up the ship's ladder in the there is a full size futon with side tables.   On the outside overlooking the creek is a full length front porch with rocking chairs while upstairs a sliding glass door leads to a balcony.     A nearby picnic table, fire ring, charcoal grill, and lamp hook allow you to bring it all outside and wrap yourself in nature.  A stone trail leads to the water where you can splash and swim, jacuzzi in Sarah's Wave, bask in the sun atop Jump Rock, float to Professor's Pool -- we offer boat rental and shuttles -- or simply enjoy the Cadron's marvelous works and wonders.  Visitors are also encouraged to wander and explore any of the trails that criss-cross the 100 acre park.  You'll find waterfalls, goat bluffs, and even a nine hole frisbee golf course,  Downwind of the cabin and away from the river there is a sanitized porta-potty and further away are compost toilets.  One can also  use the shower house at Camp Toasty (a short walk up to the ridge overlooking the creek).   Whether looking for a lonely weekend for two, a great place for a small group of friends, or a family-fun, creekin' adventure with the kids, Pinnacle Springs Cabin is the place for it to happen.    FAQs:  PRIMITIVE -- The cabin does NOT come with electricity or water -- it is off grid!!  That means no flush toilets, faucets or shower! However both electricity and water are available -- electricity can only be obtained via solar panels, power inverters (available for rent), or a generator (only when campground is otherwise unoccupied) -- and hot showers can be found near the front gate. Moreover electrical outlets for recharging phones, etc. can be found throughout the property -- Camp Toasty, store, bunkhouse, etc.  Primo filtered mineral water is also available inside the cabin and is provided by use of 5-gallon jug and hand pump.  Fans, propane heaters, gas stoves, sleeping bags and "kitchen kits" are also available. BEDDING: The loft futon and downstairs bunk bed have clean fresh mattress covers, fitted sheets and pillow cases (each bed has multiple pillows). There is also a mattress for your dog underneath the bottom bunk bed. Campers need only bring blanket(s) and/or sleeping bag to assure a comfortable sleep. Site 6 - Camp Toasty
My boyfriend and I stayed the weekend in site 6 and had a great time. Camp Toasty was all to ourselves the first night. The other campers were down at the creek. It looked nice but we were unsure if our vehicle would handle it well so we stayed up top. The neighboring donkey came over to visit at the fence and stayed until I couldn't hold my arm up to pet her any more. lol. The next morning my boyfriend saw the pig and was so amazed at how big he is. The nights were quiet, the stars were clearly seen from our site and it was just all round a great stay. We had purchased 2 bundles of firewood with our site and boy did they deliver. The wood was there when we got to our site (it actually helped locate which was our site). These were chunks of wood not just those little pieces you get from the store. They were stacked and there were some already placed in our fire pit ready for us. There was even a pile of sticks for kindling waiting. The site was mostly flat so finding somewhere to set up our tent and potty house wasn't difficult while still being near the car. It really was much better than I expected.

This place was so wonderful and peaceful! It is clearly well cared for. The whole family loved playing and fishing in the creek. View is beautiful and outhouse was surprisingly clean. You do need a vehicle that can handle rough terrain to get down to the campsites.

One of my absolute favorite campgrounds in Arkansas. Never mind that i worked here or 8 months. Its truly a gem that many Never find. Make sure to hike to the waterfall. Also Batesville Mt Campground is another great option with the same owner.

This place was/is perfect for primitive camping. During my time there, it was exactly what I was looking for and needed. Though it was just a bit colder than what I was expecting temperature-wise, it wasn't a deal breaker at all. IF you are looking for a place to primitive camp and enjoy winter camping especially, you need to check this place out. On their site, John has described it well, and shout-out to John for the extra perk for my visit. Great time and exactly what I was looking for.

Very clean camping spots that are backed up to an awesome creek. You can see the mountain face with a couple of spots where you can get under it Has a nice open spot in the middle of the campground big enough to play football or frisbee. If you want good exercise,walk up the hill a few times 🤣

Our group of four had an absolute blast. Being October the sites weren’t filled up, so it was very peaceful. The property was beautiful and just refreshing. Aside from the showers not working when we stayed, I have nothing negative to say about our stay. We camped at site #9 and it was perfect for both tent and hammock camping. The outhouse was close and very clean. We unplugged while there. Though for those curious service was low, yet manageable if needed. We will definitely be back for another stay!

Tanner's I-40 Wilderness Escape
It was my first time tent camping. Was a bit nervous on night one but by night two I was so content. It was beautiful there. I was very thankful that the fire pit came with a griddle already. Ok so back to the first night, I was actually pretty terrified, I was trying to sound tough up above, it was SO dark. The road I had to go down to get to the campsite looked like they wanted me to end it all, but apparently i was just nervous and dramatic. It is steep, it is rocky, DEFINITELY wouldn’t recommend any small cars on that road but it was worth it! The stars were SO beautiful, there were so many, makes me wonder where those stars be hiding at when I look up at the sky at my house🤔 Your camera can not capture the true beauty of that sight so take a mental picture too, and keep it! We were by a creek which was a plus because I love a big body of water. The first night (in my head) it was surely the seen from a horror movie that I survived to be able to tell you that you MUST go experience it for yourself. I finally got to heat up a can of beans on a open fire out in the wood to eat because I was hungry, im not sure if I felt like an accomplished homeless person or the winner of Naked and afraid. Either way it was pretty dope. Oh so if you’re no lumber jack then I suggest you get the bundle of firewood. First night had to fend for myself, It was fun looking for the wood but it was all damp and wouldn’t stay lit. Beautiful scenery, 100/10 recommend, what are you waiting for??
